Bethesda's Dishonored 2 is just days away from release, fans everywhere are excited to get back into the tale of Corvo – and use some supernatural abilities to off enemies in a number of creative ways. Welp, it never hurts to prepare ahead of time.
With the game available November 10th (if you pre-order), it's been noted that there is a 9.1GB day one patch for the game on PlayStation 4, and just around 9GB for Xbox One.
A Reddit user by the name of LegalTRR has noted that the patch, according to the PS4's Update History, is for improved texture streamer, as well as shadow quality, reloading time, audio mix and frame-rate performance enhancements. There's also a new mid-mission stats screen, screenshot preview for saved games and various bug fixes. (The Xbox One patch may not note all of this, but we're pretty sure the fixes are for the same thing.)
In addition, the game is now available for pre-load on all platforms, and it never hurts to get an early start. The game clocks in at just around 48GB, pretty big for a game of this type.
Bethesda confirmed that those that pre-order the game will be able to play it a day early on Twitter. "If you pre-order a digital or physical version of Dishonored 2, the play-a-day early applies." Of course, if you pre-order, you'll also snag a copy of Dishonored: Definitive Edition for your troubles, and can download that as well.
We'll have review coverage following the game's official release this Friday, as that's around the same time review copies are expected to come in. However, based on what we've seen thus far, Dishonored 2 is miles beyond what the original game offered in terms of gameplay and visuals. Just check out the trailer below if you need any further proof of this.
Dishonored 2 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
