Golden Joysticks Awarded, Overwatch Cleans House

The biggest game show in Europe took place earlier today, and various companies earned their keep with a number of Golden Joystick awards.

Overwatch was easily the big winner of the night, taking home five trophies – similar to what The Witcher III: Wild Hunt did the year before. However, it would be Dark Souls III winning the biggest award of the night, the Ultimate Game of the Year award.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Eiji Aonuma

Best Gaming Platform: Steam

Best Gaming Performance: Doug Cokcle

Competitive Game of the Year: Overwatch

Nintendo Game of the Year: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

PlayStation Game of the Year: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Xbox Game of the Year: Rise of the Tomb Raider

Breakthrough Award: Eric Barone, Stardew Valley
