It's all going down tonight, as The Game Awards 2016 will be given out to companies and individuals that certainly deserve top honors. This yearly awards show is not only filled with surprises and live performances, but also a variety of awards that applaud everything from top action experience to best fighting game to the best of what's to come.
For the past two years, the Game Awards have provided nods to a number of greats, and this year should be no exception, as many games, including Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Titanfall 2 and others are nominated across a slew of categories. But, of course, it all comes down to one winner for each one, with a particular company winning the nod for Game of the Year and other awards along those lines.
So who should win? Well, the committee (and fans) have already likely made their decision, but we can't help but wonder who could be victorious if we chose our own way. Sure, there's likely to be a winner in each category, but that isn't stopping us from playing the old prediction game.
That's not to say we like certain games more than others (and screaming something like, "Damn it, Titanfall 2 needs to win everything!"), and we wish all companies the best of luck in winning. Besides, we have to use this crystal ball for something, or it'll just be gathering dust in the office again.
With that, we've chosen our own picks of who should win, and who will most likely win anyway, based on popularity and what-not. So read on as we break down each of the major categories!
Note: we've got a special eSports section for The Game Awards 2016 as well, so if you want to see who our favorites are in those categories, be sure to check those out as well.
