Somehow we've almost made it to the New Year with a little bit of money left in our bank accounts. We were planning on kicking off 2017 by beefing up our savings accounts and making more faithful contributions to our 401k, but not if Amazon has anything to say about it! The online retail giant just announced that it will be holding yet another massive sale soon, and this time it's all about digital goods.
Amazon is calling it Digital Day, and it's a one day sale that begins (and ends) on December 30. "Amazon Digital Day is the deal event for your devices. For one day only, get up to 50% off over a thousand TV shows, movies, music, apps, mobile games, eBooks and more. The savings start on Friday, December 30. Whether you’re gifting or receiving gadgets this year, this 24-hour sale is one of the best times of the year to shop for must-have digital content."
As the description states, this is going to be a sale on pretty much any kind of digital media. That includes software programs like Microsoft Office and Norton Security Deluxe, as well as digital copies of movies like The Lego Movie, Bolt, and Storks. You can expect plenty of games to go on sale as well.
The description explicitly states that "apps and mobile games" will be on sale, but Amazon has multiple streamers filled with featured products to be discounted on the Digital Day front page, and we're seeing some console games there. Dragonball Xenoverse is right there, front and center, and next to it we can see Destiny: Rise of Iron. No doubt this will be a great time to scoop up some mobile games you've been wanting to try, but we're betting that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will want to check back and see what's on offer as well.
The deals go live December 30, at midnight PST. We'll be checking out the best deals and keeping you updated, so stay tuned to WWG!
