If you’re a fan of the Legend of Zelda series, then the name Beedle might ring a bell. He’s a merchant that can be found in most of the games in the series, offering up a great deal of items to Link when he needs them the most. Even though some of his high pricing may be questionable, he’s loyal to Link’s needs, and even offers discounts if you buy from him more than once – now that’s a frequent shopper program if we’ve ever heard one.
A new screenshot from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been posted today, and with it, we’ve got a good idea that Beedle will be making his return to the series. He appears to have a new shop that Link can drop by and get goods from, as you can see him waiting in the image above. As you can see, the character approaching from the other side is wearing a beetle-shaped backpack, and if that’s not an indication that Beedle has returned, we’re not sure what is.
Nintendo didn't provide any information on whether it was the character or not, but it certainly looks that way, and fans should have more than enough reason to be excited for him. After all, who else offers deals in wacky vehicles like this guy does? Certainly not car dealerships.
We’ll find out more about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild next week, as Nintendo is sure to talk about the game during its Nintendo Switch presentation on January 12th.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release this year for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
