Humble Bundle Offering Top-Tier Indie Games for Next to Nothing

by Matthew Hayes

Humble Bundle is offering one of the best indie game bundles I've ever seen on the site right now. Themed as the "The Humble Overwhelmingly Positive Bundle," this specific bundle is benefiting great charities by selling great games. You can find the bundle by clicking here. Here's the shtick:

"The power of positive bundling. Humble though we are, we're positive that fans will like these games. Why? Because every single one is rated 'Overwhelmingly Positive' on Steam! Plus, proceeds support Direct Relief, which has an overwhelmingly positive rating of 100% on Charity Navigator. We're guessing it doesn't get much better than that (if we did our math right, that is)!"

Overwhelmingly positive games going to an overwhelming positive charity. What could be better? So what's included in this bundle, you ask? Hang on to your butts.

Pay what you want tier ($1 or more):

  • Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
  • Epic Battle Fantasy 4
  • Pony Island

Beat the average tier (Currently $6.41 or more):

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered
  • More to be announced soon...

Pay $10 or more tier:

  • VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action
  • N++

I respect your time, my dear reader, and so I'm not going to gush about every game in this bundle and why they're worth playing. All I'll say is you'd be crazy not to opt in at least at the beat-the-average tier. Shantae and the Pirate's Curse alone is worth the price of the top tier. The beat-the-average buy-in guarantees you a handful of incredible games, with another game to be announced about six days from now.

If you can swing $10, then N++ is one of the best platformers you've never played, and VA-11 Hall-A is one of the best mystery games you've (probably) never played. If you're an impulse buyer, then now would be the time to give in to your urges and splurge on something unexpectedly. If you have a spouse to answer to when you get home, just be sure to tell them that it was for a good cause! You can read more about the featured charity Direct Relief here. Happy gaming, philanthropists.
