Fans of King of Fighters XIV, it’s time to hop back into the fighting ring.

SNK has announced that the update 1.10, which brings a number of visual improvements to the sequel, has gone live. It’s a 3.7GB update, but it brings a number of fundamental features being added to the game, which should keep fans happy.

“With this update, aspects such as the shaders and lighting have been upgraded to improve the overall visuals,” said producer Yasuyuki Oda, speaking with PlayStation Blog. “We also listened to your feedback regarding color variations, and will be increasing the total number per character from four to six.”

The update brings the following features to the table:

  • Improvements to display on graphics and characters
  • Increased color variations for each of the characters, from four to six colors
  • Addressed other issues and improved functionality

No other character balance changes have been made in this update, but may be addressed in the future. More reveals are expected in the months ahead as well…including potential new fighters.

King of Fighters XIV is available now for PlayStation 4.
