Well, it looks like someone’s a fan of Nosferatu…or maybe Twilight. Or just vampires in general…
The team behind The Sims has announced that it is set to release a new vampire pack for the game. Set to drop on January 24th, the pack will introduce a variety of new creation options for The Sims 4, including the ability to change skintones, eye colors and brows so that they’re, um, vampiric? (How else would you explain how a character has red eyes in the game? Too much sun?)
In addition, the game will introduce special powers for vampire Sims to play around with, including the ability to suck plasma from sleeping characters, as well as other special powers – and being able to transform other Sims into your breed. (Soon, they’ll take over the neighborhood!)
The pack will also introduce a new world to The Sims 4, in the form of Forgotten Hollow. Said the team in a blog post regarding the pack, “It’s completely different to previous The Sims 4 worlds and makes a great place for a Vampire to live as night-time lasts long here. You’ll notice that this World looks and feels totally different to the others in The Sims 4, with creeping fog and a lot of withered, old foliage.”
Various Build and Buy options will also be introduced with the game, so that you can make your own dream vampire lair however you see fit. This includes buying a pipe organ to stick in the corner (because who needs synthesizers?) along with the ability to lay down a few coffin beds.
Maxis has released a new trailer for the pack, which you can watch below. It’s not scary so much as trying to introduce a fun-loving side of vampires to the world of The Sims, so there you go.
The Sims 4 is available now for PC.
