Last year, Electronic Arts opted to break away from the Electronic Entertainment Expo show floor in favor of hosting its event right down the street in Los Angeles – a move that paid off in spades, as thousands of fans were able to check out Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1 and other games without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of the big show.
So, considering its success, it’s no surprise that EA wants to do it again. The company has announced that EA Play will make a return this summer, taking place at the Hollywood Palladium from Saturday June 10th through Monday June 12th.
The team hasn’t announced any games just yet, but we’re likely to see Star Wars: Battlefront II to some extent, as well as the rest of its 2017 line-up, including new versions of Madden and FIFA, amongst other yet-to-be-announced games.
Those that are interested in the event can sign up for updates here, on the official page. EA is likely to drop more details soon, probably around March or so, including a potential schedule that features previously unveiled games like Fe and Sea of Solitude. We could very well see downloadable content plans for blockbusters like Battlefield 1 and Mass Effect: Andromeda as well.
