As if this past week’s release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle wasn’t enough to get the blood pumping in the veins of die-hard Ranger fans, a new game is on the horizon to get them even more ready for a fight.
nWay’s Power Rangers: Legacy War is set to release this March for iOS and Android devices, and features multiplayer fighting action as the Rangers do battle with various villains from the long-running TV series. That said, the game will have a style that matches up very closely with that of the forthcoming Lionsgate Saban’s Power Rangers film, which is set to debut in theaters this March.
For those of you who haven’t heard of nWay, they made a previous hack-and-slash game for mobile called ChronoBlade that went well with its audience, so it’s safe to say that the Power Rangers game is in good hands.
Now it’s just a matter of seeing which Rangers are included, because there’s a good chance that the Green Ranger could very well be joining the line-up. As you can see from the game’s artwork, the Green one makes an appearance, someone we haven’t seen in the movie trailers just yet. Lionsgate hasn’t confirmed his inclusion yet, but it’d be a nice surprise for him to show up and help save the day against the vile Rita Repulsa.
And if you need further proof, GameZone posted a screen image from the film, whereas the first few opening seconds reveal the logo of the White Tiger on the back window of Jason’s truck. Catch a glimpse below.
Though we don’t have official gameplay from the forthcoming title just yet, we do have several pieces of promotional art, as seen above. They provide a closer look at the power armor that the characters will be using in the game, as well as a glimpse of enemies that you’ll be facing off against. If it’s anything like ChronoBlade was, we’re in for a swell action game.
Check out the shots in the attached gallery, and prepare to go go Power mad when the movie and game arrive this March!
