When Titanfall 2 released last October, it found itself between a rock and a hard place – literally. Electronic Arts made the inexplicable move of releasing it between its own stellar Battlefield 4 and Activision’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, creating an overflow of quality first-person shooters in just three weeks’ time. As a result, Titanfall 2’s sales didn’t quite end up being what EA was expecting, though the company didn’t express disappointment in the game’s quality.
