Although it has plenty of paid DLC coming down the line with new maps and modes, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare also appears to be getting some free stuff down the road as well.
Infinity Ward, the developers behind the game, have posted a new community update, providing a few details on updates that will be coming to it free of charge.
First off, it will introduce a number of new customization options for players by the end of the month, enabling them to rotate a rig a full 360 degrees, for a better view of how it looks. There will also be an emblem creator, though that’s apparently been delayed for a few more weeks yet, with a release set for mid-March at this point.
The Winner’s Circle will also see some minor changes, so that the rig carrying the last weapon you used in the match fits in with your overall customized set-up.
This is just the beginning, as the company has also promised “new content on a regular basis to keep gameplay fresh,” though it didn’t provide any specifics outside of that. At least, not yet. “Be sure to visit the Quartermaster regularly to see what new items your robot friend has to offer,” it noted in the community post.
Finally, the team did note that a new mission team is in the works, with a bunch of new equipment and gear to offer players, along with the promise of an increase in prestige levels, as well as “some new features for scorestreaks, the Quartermaster, and more, such as a community poll giving you a say in picking the upcoming week-long, featured game mode.” A date hasn’t been given on this content just yet, but it shouldn’t be too far off.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
