Final Fantasy XV’s Episode Gladiolus Gets More Details

Final

A new piece of story-related downloadable content is on the way for Final Fantasy XV, and Square Enix has dropped some new juicy story details that will no doubt be worth the wait.

The company has revealed first information on its forthcoming Episode Gladiolus DLC, which still doesn’t have a release date, but is very reasonably priced for $4.99 – for those that don’t have the season pass, mind you.

Square Enix recently provided a synopsis of what to expect in the DLC, though there are minor spoilers ahead. So, if you don’t want to know what’s up, or you’re waiting to play through the main game, turn back now.

Still here? Okay.

“Gladio, one of the three faithful comrades who accompany Noctis on his journey will become a playable character for the very first time in his own episode with a completely different type of gameplay and an all-new story,” the description reads.

“Picking up from the events from the group’s encounter with Ravus, Gladio leaves the group to train alongside Cor and become even more powerful. He sets on a path to face challenges by encountering larger than life monsters along the way.”

This is just the latest content coming for the game, as Square Enix has already provided plenty of free updates with in-game events and goodies, as well as forthcoming DLC content like Episode Ignis, Episode Prompto and the multiplayer expansion. However, none of these are dated just yet, so we’re playing the wait-and-see approach.

Hopefully, Square Enix will set up a timeline soon, so we can know when to expect this great new content that will allow us to continue this magnificent adventure. We’ll let you know once this information comes around, so you can prepare accordingly.

Final Fantasy XV is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
