Destiny 2’s Release Date Could Be Revealed Next Week

by Robert Workman

We’ve been waiting for Bungie to give some kind – well, any kind, really – of word about its forthcoming sequel to Destiny, which is rumored to drop sometime this fall. Well, next week, we might just get our wish.

Bungie provided a new weekly update on its website today, and at the conclusion of the report, the site noted that David “Deej” Dague would be returning to action, and could provide some tips in terms of what to expect from the highly anticipated sequel.

“Maybe (Deej) will even draw up a roadmap of what to expect in the month of March,” the post notes. “Yes, this is where you can make jokes about how we’re hinting at future updates about future updates. We don’t mind. We’re just excited to get you the information.”

This could point at the new spring update that’s coming to the original Destiny, but “Deej” could easily be hinting at something bigger – like first info on the follow-up.

We’ll find out in just a few short weeks, as the game gets closer to its reported Q3 2017 release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and possibly even PC.
