Battlefield 1 Getting A Free Trial Period This Weekend

by Robert Workman

If you haven’t played Electronic Arts’ Battlefield 1 yet, you’re missing out on something special. Not only does it have one of the best single-player campaigns for the series in years, but its multiplayer is hearty and robust, and sure to bring you back for more. But, good news, gamers – you’re going to get a chance to try it out for free this weekend.

EA has announced this morning that, along with DICE, it will be hosting a free timed trial for the World War I shooter on both Xbox One and PC.

The details on the trials can be found below, letting you know what all you can play on each platform:

Xbox One

Xbox One owners will get the trial as part of the reoccurring Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Days and those days go from  9 AM PT, March 3 through 11:59 PM PT, March 5. Xbox players will have access to the full game, every multiplayer map, and mode as well as the whole single player story. All Achievements players unlock during the trial are theirs to keep and all progress is saved for when they decide to buy the full game.

PC players will get a bit less of a premium trial, it will even be time limited. The PC trial will go from March 3, 5 AM PT and March 6, 10 AM PT. Unlike the Xbox One trial, the one on PC will only give players access to 10 hours of the game, 4 modes and 5 maps in multiplayer, and only two of the War Stories in single player are accessible.

And, hey, if you like what you play, the game will be on sale on both platforms all week long, so the fun doesn’t have to end if you don’t want it to.

Battlefield 1 is available now for Xbox One and PC, as well as PlayStation 4.
