Activision have always been masters at maximizing the DLC potential of their Call of Duty games, and one of the more unique bits of extra content they offer are “voice packs.” Basically, these packs add encouraging narration to your multiplayer matches – y’know, just in case you need something to drown out the 14-year-olds screaming horrible things at you.
Celebrities like Snoop Dogg and have contributed voce packs in the past, and now Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare players can get Method Man all up in their ears. I’m not sure if Method Man’s vibe is really going to get me that hype, but you can check out a sampling of his one-liners above, and judge for yourself.
GameSpot spoke to ol’ Double-M about being a part of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and it definitely sounds like he’s a fan of the series…
“As soon as I heard it was for Call of Duty, I was in. Full stop. Plus, I remember a Call of Duty game Ghosts where they had Snoop Dogg do the same thing. That was really good.
They had some lines open and they gave me the freedom to express myself, so to speak. It's a lot of, you know, I got my own flavor on what's coming out of my mouth. That's going to my flavor. And being someone that actually played the game, I know some of the lingo even though I haven't played in a while.”
Activision has also released a UK Special Forces voice pack, but why in the world would you want that when you could have Method Man shouting stuff at you?
The new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare voice packs are out now, and cost $4 apiece.
