Titanfall 2 Getting Some Big Updates Soon

by Robert Workman

Respawn Entertainment is continuing its momentum with freebie content for its hit shooter Titanfall 2, and today hinted that another big reveal is on the way, with yet more stuff being set for announcement.

The company noted that another downloadable content drop would happen sometime this month, with the update being named A Glitch In the Frontier. The official reveal is set to happen in just a few days, complete with a date for arrival, but other details are minimal thus far. However, from what the developer has hinted, we could be seeing options that will take place “outside of the normal modes,” promising something new and innovative.

But that’s not all. Another blog post from the company’s site indicates that we’ll be getting a much bigger layout of what it has in mind for future Titanfall 2 downloadable content in the next few weeks. While the company won’t reveal everything it’s up to, it will give fans an idea of what to expect in terms of what the content will be like, what multiplayer maps and other stuff will be introduced, and so on.

And finally, Respawn has promised that it will get more involved with the community as well, as it’s already promised a number of developer Q & A’s that will take place via livestreaming, along with more gameplay videos from the sequel, contests and giveaways, and so much more. (The team hinted a while back that it was going to get more involved with the community, so this move appears to be in accordance with said plan.)

Respawn’s been doing a splendid job supporting Titanfall 2 with free content since its release late last year. Just a little while back, it launched the new Colony Reborn update for the game, featuring an all new remastered multiplayer arena, as well as other pieces of content that could be added. A Glitch In the Frontier could probably be similar to that, though the idea of new multiplayer modes does leave us a bit curious in terms of what to expect.

Whatever the case, the Titanfall 2 party is far from over – and fans should be quite pleased with that.

Titanfall 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin PC.
