Titanfall 2’s Forthcoming Content Has Cool Freebies Galore

Titanfall 2

As promised by the company earlier this week, Respawn Entertainment has laid out a “roadmap” of content coming to its hit shooter Titanfall 2 – and there’s a lot to get excited about.

The developer has a lot of cool stuff lined up between now and June, and has promised that even more “free content to come” is being prepped for the rest of the year. So, yeah, you’ll be keeping busy.

First up, the company has revealed that two more Prime Titans will be available for purchase: Ronin and Tone. It hasn’t given an exact date or price point for these ‘bots just yet, but they should be great additions to the roster.

In addition, players can expect the following in the next couple of months:

New general multiplayer maps:

  • Relic (Titanfall 1 remake)
  • Glitch (Completely new)

New Live Fire Maps:

  • Traffic
  • Deck

But these updates will be included in the game as well, according to the publisher:

  • Gen cap increase to 100
  • Expanded Private Match settings including the addition of Live Fire and Coliseum to the selectable modes
  • A new Faction
  • Marked for Death game mode
  • More Pilot executions
  • Addition refinements to matchmaking like estimated wait time and more
  • More purchasable camos, skins, etc. from the store

Again, dates and prices haven’t been given for some of the premium content provided in the game, but the fact that Respawn is supporting the game with a majority of content being available for free is absolutely superb – and adds replay value to the game that a lot of players have been wanting.

These forthcoming updates join the most recent one for Titanfall 2, in which a new map was added with Colony Reborn, featuring a remake from the original game for players to enjoy. No doubt this new content will keep the multiplayer side of things up and running. And who knows, we could see even cooler stuff later on in the year, including more maps, Titans and other content that will keep us executing enemies and preparing for Titanfall.

It’s not too late to join in the fun, as Titanfall 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin PC.
