We won’t have to wait long to see how the story of Clementine and company continues onward in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, as Telltale Games has announced the release date for the fourth chapter in the series.
The company has confirmed that Thicker Than Water, the latest episode in the ongoing saga, will arrive on April 25th. It’s also promised that an official trailer will be coming tomorrow as well, giving us an idea of what’s going to happen next with these characters that we’ve become familiar with.
This latest episodic arc of The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman’s best-selling comic books, have done really well for the company since their release. The first two seasons have proven to be big hits not only on the digital front, but physically as well, as Telltale released on-disc versions of the completed seasons for players to enjoy.
The third season, however, offers a few changes, as Clementine is now part of a much bigger picture, as players also get control of another survivor in the wild, Javier “Javi” Garcia. The game follows both of them as they deal with the hardship of the Walkers, as well as fellow survivors who may or may not be following their own agenda.
The series has seen three episode releases thus far – Ties That Bind parts one and two, which released back in December, and Above the Law, which came out back in March. Telltale previously noted that the later episodes in this particular season would come a lot more quickly, with part four debuting this month and the final chapter, From the Gallows, likely to release next month, though Telltale hasn’t confirmed a final date just yet.
Players won’t have to wait long to see how the story concludes, though they’ll still need to make careful decisions when it comes to key characters – in true Telltale fashion, the story unfolds depending on the choices that you make, so certain characters could suffer as a result. And your character could change as well.
We’ll post the official trailer for Thicker Than Water tomorrow.
