The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be as long or short as you want. Speedrunners have found ways to best the game in under an hour, but what if you wanted to collect everything the game has to offer? That would take you longer. Much, much longer.
Twitch streamer Xalikah recently completed what may be the first documented Breath of the Wild 100 percent speedrun, completing every shrine, grabbing all 900 Korok seeds, and filling every page of the game’s compendium. Nobody bothers with that last one! So, how long did it take him to grab everything there is to collect? A little over 49 hours. 49 hours, 9 minutes, and 41 seconds to be exact. Dang! And again, this guy did this while knowing exactly where everything is and operating at peak efficiency. A regular player would have to spend hundreds of hours to pull this off.
You can start watching Xalikah’s epic speedrun at the embed above, and then head over to his Twitch page to get the other parts. Start watching now, and maybe you’ll be done by the end of the weekend.
Want more impressive Breath of the Wild stunts? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Check out this guy beating an intimidating Lynel with only three hearts, and a bunch of other folks destroying them in even more ridiculous ways. How about this impressive 20-minute uninterrupted paragliding run? Or this guy who collected all of Breath of the Wild’s Korok seeds, only to get a rather crappy reward? You’re definitely going to want to know how to build yourself a flying machine or go-kart. I wish I was a tenth as good at Breath of the Wild as these folks!
