I spent an hour pushing a wounded Guardian into the desert to fight a sandworm and I don't regret it at all pic.twitter.com/gIaSmk36vC— Tristan Cooper (@TristanACooper) April 16, 2017
There are few things more terrifying than unexpectedly running into a Guardian in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Sure, there are actually tougher enemies in the game, but the speed, persistence and powerful lock-on lasers of Guardians makes them extra intimidating. The music that plays when they show up haunts my dreams.
Of course, for a certain segment of badass Breath of the Wild players, Guardians are no problem. In fact, Dorkly’s Tristan Cooper has found a way to use the fearsome beasts as weapons. Yesterday we showed you how some Breath of the Wild players are shoving characters across the map to places they shouldn’t be, and Cooper does the same with disabled Guardians.
Turns out if you put a Guardian and a miniboss in the same vicinity, they’ll fight one another, and Cooper sets up epic throwdowns between a Guardian and the boss Molduga (which you can watch above), and a Guardian and a Stone Talus (below). This right here is why Breath of the Wild is game of the year, folks

Want more impressive Breath of the Wild stunts? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Check out this guy beating an intimidating Lynel with only three hearts, and a bunch of other folks destroying them in even more ridiculous ways. How about this impressive 20-minute uninterrupted paragliding run? Or this guy who collected all of Breath of the Wild’s Korok seeds, only to get a rather crappy reward? You’re definitely going to want to know how to build yourself a flying machine or go-kart. I wish I was a tenth as good at Breath of the Wild as these folks!
