If you and your friends enlisted to take part in the action with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, you’re about to get a gaming weekend that will pay you off in spades.
Raven Software has confirmed that a Double XP weekend will be taking place within the game starting on April 21st at 10 AM PDT, and running through Monday, April 24th, at 10 AM PDT, according to Dexerto. This will enable you to earn double experience points across the board, and really clean up when it comes to bumping up your ranking.
Lead designer for Raven Studios Amos Hodge confirmed the news on Twitter, noting, “Double XP for #MWRemastered this weekend. Starts Friday, April 21st, 10 AM PST. Go get ‘em tiger.” To which, of course, a lot of fans sounded off in excitement.
As if things weren’t busy enough with Call of Duty this weekend with the announcement of a new Global Pro League tournament this weekend, now you can jump in the fun with Modern Warfare Remastered and clean up in your own way. This covers all versions across the board, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Modern Warfare Remastered has been keeping busy as of late on the gaming front, with a new Variety Pack released this week for Xbox One and PC, and players enjoying its many map additions over the past few months aside from that, including some classic favorites that were offered up at no charge. Still, some people are still a little bit sore that they can’t buy the game outside of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, although, fingers crossed, that could change eventually down the road. After all, this game certainly does have an avid fan base.
But if you’ve got the game, have a few friends in it for the long haul, and have a little time between rounds of the Global Pro League, it never hurts to jump in and stock up. It’d definitely be a good time to put that Variety Map Pack to good use, yeah?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
