As if you didn’t have enough stuff to do with Ubisoft’s extreme sports simulator Steep – what with the addition of a whole mountain and all with the Alaska expansion – the publisher is giving you even more terrain to conquer.

The company has announced that it will introduce a new DLC pack called Winterfest next month. Set to arrive on May 3rd, the pack will introduce even more activities to the game, as well as a new way of getting around – sledding! Yep, say goodbye to the snowboard and head down the mountain the way nature originally intended – on a sled!

Ubisoft provided a full description of the DLC, which you can find below:

“With the Winterfest add-on content, players will be able to jump into Steep’s stunning Alps to participate in the craziest in-game snow sports festival ever organized. Steep's massive open world playground gets even more fun with the introduction of a new sport: the Winter Sled. In addition to this new sport, Winterfest delivers 21 wacky Winterfest challenges, more than 10 zany costumes, customization items and brand new bosses that will draw players into a breathtaking adventure and invite them to defeat fantastic new foes.”

It definitely sounds like the new add-on will take more of a whimsical approach than previous DLC released for Steep, but still retain the pure rush of coming down a snowy mountain and competing against others. You’ll have plenty of goods to unlock by taking on these challenges, including a banana outfit, a fluffy dinosaur costume, and a bunch of other goods. You’ll also be able to take on a few boss challenges as well.

You can get an idea of what kind of tone the DLC is going for in the trailer below, which shows you a lot of the weirdness that’s happening – as well as the colorful, SSX-ish vibe that comes with it.

The DLC will set you back $11.99, or it’ll be free of charge that already have access to the game’s Season Pass. It looks to be a fun little add-on – especially if you’re all about riding the sled.

Steep is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
