Storms are sweeping through several parts of the country this weekend, so let's kick back and chill indoors, eh? Why not grab your girlfriend, boyfriend, or just your nerdiest friend, and make a fort to watch some movies. Starting right now, and through Sunday, PlayStation Plus members can rent Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them or the Assassin's Creed movie for only 50 cents. These aren't crappy SD rentals, either. Watch both movies in glorious HD for a handful of change!

Sound too good to be true? Believe it! Find the Fantastic Beasts listing right here. Or, if you're feeling less wand-y and more stabby, you can check out Assassin's Creed right here. You can grab either the SD or the HD version for $0.50.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (PG-13)

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds."

Assassin's Creed (PG-13)

"Oscar nominee Michael Fassbender and Oscar winner Marion Cotillard star in this big-screen action-adventure, based on the wildly popular gaming phenomenon. Fassbender plays Callum, who experiences the life of his 15th-century ancestor through a technology that unlocks his memories. Callum discovers he was once an Assassin and amasses lethal skills to take on the oppressive Templar organization."

If you really want to nerd out and you're looking for more to do this weekend while avoiding the outside world, keep in mind that the Marvel Heroes Omega closed beta kicks off today on PlayStation 4 as well. Check out the listing on the PSN Store and purchase a Founder's Pack to get guaranteed access to the entire closed beta, which is scheduled to run until May 15. Couch co-op is enabled in the beta as well, so you and your movie-watching buddy can stay holed up and pretend to be super-heroes all weekend. Have fun!
