Mass Effect: Andromeda finally arrived after years of development last month, and while some fans were slightly disappointed with certain aspects of the game, we felt it was an overall worthwhile journey – and a great addition to the overall series.
Still, if you’ve been waiting for a good time for it to go on sale – we’ve got some good news. You can get the game for $39.99 this week, but you’d better act fast.
The game is available through both GameStop and Amazon for the lower prices, but they’re likely only going to last for a short time. It doesn’t look like Best Buy is taking part in the sale, but you can always do a price match with them, provided that the other retailers have the game in stock (which it certainly looks like they do).
For those of you that want to pony up and get the Deluxe Edition of the game, it’s on sale this week as well, going for $69.99, which is about 28 percent off its normal price. It just depends how badly you want the additional content for the game – though the core adventure is suitable enough to enjoy.
You can find the game over at GameStop here, and you can purchase it at Amazon here. Keep in mind that this is just for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One physical versions of the game, and the PC version is not included in the sale.
That’s a pretty decent price for the game, and considering that you’ll be able to get most of its forthcoming downloadable content for free, that adds to an already significant deal. And never mind what most of the skeptics say. Most of the glitches surrounding facial detail and other slight issues of the game have been fixed, and BioWare has promised that the new content will make the original adventure even better, with lots of cool new features and possibly new planets to explore. Gotta make use of all those Pathfinder skills somehow, yeah?
We’ll see what comes in the next few weeks. In the meantime, be sure to snag Mass Effect: Andromeda now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin PC.
