It seems Bethesda is gearing up for another big E3. The publisher behind Fallout and Skyrim will once again be holding their own press conference, and the company’s executive producer Todd Howard has teased some big things are in the works.
“We've got a good number of projects on the go. We're bigger now and we do want to be putting out more stuff. We have two larger projects that are more classically the scale of what we do, but even bigger. I can't talk a lot about them, but I can say that they're bigger than anything we've ever done.”
Well, we just got another hint about what Bethesda has planned for E3, as the company released this rather delightful piece of art hyping their presence at the show…
Invites have gone out for the Bethesda E3 Showcase. Stay tuned for your chance to win tickets to join us at Bethesdaland on Sunday, June 11. pic.twitter.com/0Nu0qt1qJr— Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) April 28, 2017
As you can see, the art shows a fictional Bethesdaland, with different sections for Bethesda’s big series and upcoming games. In the middle, we see a land devoted to Fallout, surrounded by sections for Prey, Dishonored, Quake Champions, Doom, and The Elder Scrolls. But wait, sections of the park are also under construction!
It’s pretty clear the construction zones are meant to tease we’ll be getting two new game announcements at E3, but what could they be? It’s hard to say if we can glean anything from the art – the area in the top left has a somewhat gritty look to it. Could it be hinting at the rumored The Evil Within 2? Meanwhile, the area in the bottom right is very green and cheery-looking for a Bethesda game. I really have no idea what that area could be hinting at. Something completely new?
We’ll find out what Bethesda is cooking up when the company’s E3 press conference kicks off live on June 11 at 7pm PT.
