If you're playing Prey, you have a very limited time to take advantage of a newly-found glitch that will grant you limitless materials for crafting. We found this glitch thanks to Polygon, and the video we're sharing below is from YouTuber "Eggcellent." Check it out right here:
So here's the deal. It should take you about an hour or so to get to the point in the game where you can access Morgan Yu's office. In the office you'll find the recycling machien where you can recycle items and materials. Duplicating materials is incredibly simple, and can be done in just a few simple steps.
All you have to do is take some already-recycled materials and stick them into the machine. From there, split the materials into four separate groups by right-clicking on PC, or clicking the right stick on console. Once they're divvied up into four groups go ahead and hit the recycle button, and you should get back double what you put in.
This will allow you to craft pretty much all of the ammunition and med packs you can hold. It's not completely game-breaking, but it will make things much easier early on. If you're going to do this, you need to do it fast. Bethesda has no doubt heard about this by now, and we're sure that a patch is swiftly approaching. We'd be surprised if you could still do this by this time tomorrow, so get recycling!
Prey is out now on consoles and PC via Steam.
