Report: Is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Getting A Ken Jeong Voice Pack?

by Robert Workman

While there’s a whole lot of focus right now on Activision’s other Call of Duty games – namely Black Ops III with its Zombies Chronicles pack and the forthcoming WWII from Sledgehammer Games – we shouldn’t forget about Infinite Warfare, as it may be getting a cool new voice pack that fans of Community will probably love.

Reddit user TailsDoll553 has apparently come across some leaked audio files that point at actor Ken Jeong getting a forthcoming Voice Pack for the multiplayer portion of the game. The file went up over the weekend, featuring a number of quotes from Jeong that seem to fit his comedic style. These include quotes like “Don’t overlook, we’re just doing well…thanks to me” and “Remote uplink successful. Freakin’ sick” amongst several others. You can check out the full audio rundown, including various samples, at this link.

Jeong has been doing rather well over the past few years, starring in such TV shows as Community and Dr. Ken, and also making a name for himself in The Hangover movies. And if this voice pack ends up being true, he’ll have some rather interesting company, as other superstars have contributed the Call of Duty series in the past, including Snoop Dogg providing a pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer, and Method Man and Ghost giving lines for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward hasn’t said anything about the voiceover pack just yet, so it’s just rumor for now. Still, it sounds like a legitimate addition to the game, especially considering it’s in the midst of its DLC programming right now. The Continuum map pack, which features the new Shaolin Shuffle Zombies mode, just came out for PlayStation 4, and two more packs are set to drop sometime within the next few months, with details expected as soon as next month during Sony’s presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

We’ll see what gets announced over the next few weeks, but, yeah, we’d be down with Jeong providing commentary during out shoot-outs. It’d sure make us feel a lot smarmier, that’s for sure.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
