EnVyUs CSGO Will Not Get Invite to Offline Qualifier per PGL

by Steven Cropley

The French shuffle has left its mark, and its a painful one for Team EnVyUs. The No. 11 team in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings will have to go through the Minor system in order to be granted access to the PGL Major in July.

The organization broke the news via Twitter where it stated the new roster did not meet requirements to receive a direct invitation to the PGL Major Krakow 2017 Offline Qualifier.

The team will have to compete in the European Minor Championship scheduled to take place from June 15 to 18. It was not made clear, however, whether or not EnVyUs would receive a direct invite to the Minor or be forced to partake in the qualification process.

PGL did make an adjust, stating that three of the teams from the European Minor Championship will make the Offline Qualifier rather than the two previously allocated.

After weeks of anticipation, ScreaM joined up with two former EnVyUs players and Alexandre "xms" Forté who joined the organization from LDLC during the French shuffle that resulted in the French super team playing under the G2 Esports banner of which ScreaM was left out. G2 will now hold that spot as three of EnVyUs members made their move to the squad. xms left a hole in LDLC that was later filled by Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez in the shuffle.

The Major is set to take place at the TAURON Arena, the largest multifunctional arena in Poland located in Krakow. Kicking off with the group stage on July 16, the main event will begin on July 21 and run through July 23 live from the TAURON Arena. The third Major to take place in Poland, this will be the first to not take place in Katowice.

As per the usual qualification system, there will be seven Minor Championships as a part of the Major Circuit that will allow teams to earn a spot in the offline qualifier.
