NiP recently added William "draken" Sundin to the lineup as the full-time AWP player and his impact has been positive thus far. Upcoming LAN events will be the true test and the ninjas desperately need to see an improvement as its been a downward trend for months now.

Gambit has been making steady progress, making its way up the rankings after back-to-back quarterfinal appearances at the ELEAGUE Major and DreamHack Masters Las Vegas.

SK Gaming was announced as the first team back in December 2016 with Beyond The Summit being rather silent on the event since. SK gaming recently added Joao "felps" Vasconcellos to the roster after using a stand-in for the ECS season two finals and ELEAGUE Major. SK placed second at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas with its newest member before falling out in the group stage at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice.

OpTic Gaming has not stayed the same either, losing its in-game leader Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz who left the organization to join No. 19 Team Liquid. In his place, Spencer "Hiko" Martin had been playing as a stand-in but left that position just yesterday. The team did not fare well at DreamHack Masters nor IEM Katowice.

Cloud9 is still looking to reach the level it peaked at back at ESL Pro League season four finals in Brazil where it took home the event before returning home to lose the title of the best North American team to OpTic a short time later. The team exited in the group stage at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas at the hands of No. 7 Ninjas in Pyjamas and once again took a group stage exit at IEM Katowice.
