Team Liquid CSGO to Separate with Pimp

by Steven Cropley

Per his own request, Jacob "Pimp" Winneche has been put on the market for transfer from Team Liquid's Counter-Strike team.

"I am writing to you today to let you know that Jacob “Pimp” Winneche has officially requested to be transferred," the announcement from Victor "Nazgul" Goossens read. Pimp has been a member of Liquid for all of the recent lows and the addition of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz has not seemed to help the squad in the way needed to achieve better results.

The No. 19 team in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings, Liquid stated it is open to fielding offers for the player and are actively looking to find a replacement for the Danish player.

"Replacing a player of Pimp’s caliber is not easy, but we are working hard to find someone that will enable our CS:GO squad to compete at the highest international level - our coaching staff and management is diligently pursuing top tier talent, and we will update the CSGO community as our search progresses."

Pimp will remain on the roster for the time being as an active substitute until a replacement can be found and Pimp has found a new team according to the post to the organization's website. "Replacing a player of Pimp’s caliber is not easy, but we are working hard to find someone that will enable our CS:GO squad to compete at the highest international level - our coaching staff and management is diligently pursuing top tier talent, and we will update the CSGO community as our search progresses," the announcement stated.

“It’s with mixed feeling of sadness and excitement that I will no longer be a part of the Team Liquid starting roster. I no longer feel that playing for Liquid fulfills my personal expectations & goals, nor do I feel I can provide the commitment necessary to continue with the team on a long term basis.

It has been a great ride and an experience I would not trade for anything in the world. I am not done as a player by any means, and I am actively looking for another team with a vision similar to mine. I want to take this time to thank Liquid for everything they’ve done and provided for me, a life experience I wouldn’t be without!”

Liquid currently holds a record of 9-4 in the ESL Pro League following tonights 0-2 loss to Counter Logic Gaming.
