Gambit and mousesports Finals Teams Invited to DreamHack Tours CSGO

by Steven Cropley

The No. 11 and 12 teams in the WWGO CSGO Team Rankings, Gambit and mousesports will be taking a trip to France. Both teams were announced as the next and final squads invited to participate in the DreamHack Tours. DreamHack Tours will be taking place at the Vinci Congress Center from May 6 to 8 and offer a $100,000 prize pool with the winner walking away with $50,000.

The group stage will consist of two groups of four teams each. The teams will be competing in a double elimination group format with best-of-one matches being played up until the decider matches will be played as best-of-three matches. The top two teams from each group will move on to the playoffs.

The playoffs will be a single elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three.

Gambit and mousesports will be joining the French duo of No. 9 Team EnVyUs and No. 14 G2 Esports as well as No. 3 Natus Vincere and No. 16 Heroic as invited teams. Both teams finished 5-8th at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas, Gambit was riding a high from a playoff run at the ELEAGUE Major that moved them up a bit on everyones list of top teams. mousesports has shown to be able to compete regardless of the loss of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, although it has been limited to online matches.

Na'Vi has looked like a solid squad as of late after going through the usual highs and lows associated with the five-man roster. Na'Vi is 7-3 in its last ten maps, however, we know the real test for the team will be upcoming LAN events. Heroic is flipped with a 3-7 record in its last ten, not following up its IEM Katowice performance very well. To be fair, however, five of those map losses came against No. 1 Astralis and No. 6 North, it's Danish brethren.

Team EnVyUs has done more than expected. Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom's squad has shown they will not lay down and let G2 take the title of best French Counter-Strike team. EnVyUs is currently ranked five spots higher than G2 in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings. EnVyUs has slipped a little as of late, starting off on a nice streak of results, EnVyUs has started to slow down and take some losses that could see it drift downward.
