GODSENT, the No. 10 team in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings will miss the World Electronic Sports Games 2016 World Finals in China.

According to an announcement from WESG, the reasons for the team's decision are unknown as GODSENT has given no comment on the matter.

The Swedish team was set to play in Group C where they were to take on Space Soldiers, Signature, Team Kinguin, FIVE eSports Club and Bravado Gaming.

After a disappointing first round exit against PRIDE in the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas European Qualifier, a win or healthy run at WESG would have done well for the team.

WESG CS:GO World Finals kicks off tomorrow with $1.5 million in prize money and will run until January 15. The total prize pool for the event that includes Dota 2, Starcraft II, and Hearthstone is $3.7 million.

GODSENT roster:

  • Jesper "JW" Wecksell
  • Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
  • Markus "pronax" Wallsten
  • Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson
  • Andreas "znajder" Lindberg
  • Alexander "rdl" Redl (coach)

Update: GODSENT player Adam "znajder" Lindberg took to Twitter to say a statement was coming from the team.

WWG will update was more information is revealed.
