eUnited have fallen in Paris. The Call of Duty World League Atlanta champion had faced a loss earlier to Luminosity Gaming to put them in the losers bracket. While Luminosity had placed fourth at the event hosted by MLG in Atlanta, the second team was not quite as high up the chain. Still a respectable finish at 7th to 8th place, Splyce was the second team to take down the recent champions and North American leader in terms of pro points for the CWL.

The European squad from Splyce went all five maps with eUnited, closing it out 6-4 on the final map to take the series 3-2, guaranteeing itself a top 12 finish.

The old champions are still around, however, as Team EnVyUs, OpTic Gaming, and FaZe Clan are all still alive in the event going into the next round. EnVyUs saw a loss to the green wall in the first round of the championship bracket, but is still alive in the event while FaZe took down Red Reserve to earn itself a game again Rise Nation, the winners of MLG Vegas. If FaZe wins that match and OpTic take down Infused at the top of the bracket, we would see a second battle between the two Call of Duty powerhouses in just two weeks.

EnVyUs will take on Splyce in the losers bracket, a team that looks great after defeating eUnited, the same squad that defeated EnVyUs twice in last week's event.

The new champion is down but the throne of Call of Duty in Paris has several once King suitors still in battle.
