Call of Duty: ESL Sydney Pools Revealed

Call of Duty World League has revealed its pools for the Sydney event taking place this weekend.

The group draw was done today, March 2 based on the current standings of Call of Duty Pro Points. The event is set to kick off tomorrow March 3 and run until March 5 at the ESL Sydney studios with teams battling for the lion's share of the $30,000 prize pool and 10,000 in Pro Points. The event is will follow an open format and will allow for lesser known teams and players a shot at making it big. In addition, UnVeiL.NoVa and RamPaGe Gaming, the top teams from the SONY Call of Duty Asia Championship, will be attending the first APAC CWL Event according to the announcement. Similar to previous ESL events in other regions, twelve teams invited based on Pro Points will be joined by four teams which fight their way through the open bracket for a chance at the championship bracket.

CWL Sydney Open 2 is scheduled for May 12-14, and will once again be hosted in the ESL Sydney Studio matching the prize offering up another $30,000 in prize money and 10,000 in Pro Points.

Call of Duty continues to get events since the release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as Activision looks to push its esports title further up the chain with added events and prize money.
