Counter Logic Gaming's climb up the standing of the NA LCS may be about to come to an end, but by no fault of their own.

Information started swirling earlier in the day that it looked like something might be afoot over at the Counter Logic Gaming house. The various players of the team all took to twitter and started making jokes about how the coming day was likely to play out. First Xmithie tweeted that Counter Logic Gaming fans should "Get ready for some Kappa shit boys," a line that did little to inspire confidence in fans that were already wondering what game Counter Logic Gaming was playing. Next, Huhi replied with "Hmm good thing I fill :)", which led fans to believe that a member of the team might be out for the day, prompting Huhi to move into another lane.

The picture became crystal clear, however, once the next member of the team posted their first tweet of the morning. Stixxay followed up on Xmithie and Huhi's tweets by posting a picture of himself in a hospital gown and clearly resting in a hospital bed along with the byline "Excited for LCS Today!!" Clearly, Counter Logic Gaming was going to be down one ADC today, and who else could step in to fill the void that one Aphromoo, who himself was an ADC player back in the old days of yore before the LCS itself even existed. Zikz, the coach for Counter Logic Gaming, all but confirmed that Aphromoo would be the ADC for the day by posting this picture along with the line "The Return".

Counter Logic Gaming later confirmed on reddit what everyone had been fearing: Stixxay was injured and Aphromoo would be taking over the ADC role for the day. In addition, Counter Logic Gaming's support for the day was revealed to be Joseph "Joey" Haslemann, the mid lane sub for the team. Their full statement was as follows:

"Due to a medical emergency last night, Stixxay will sadly not be able to compete in today's games. Aphromoo will be the starting AD carry with substitute player Joseph “Joey” Haslemann playing as support. Please wish Stixxay well and a speedy recovery!"

Whether Counter Logic Gaming will be able to continue their rise up the standings despite this blow remains unclear, but it's quite likely that Aphromoo and co. are going to have their work cut out for them in the final weeks of the LCS if they want to keep their playoff spot.
