Team Dignitas continue to expand their organization's reach. The Philadelphia 76ers owned organization announced today that they would be live streaming on Facebook as well as Twitch.

"Team Dignitas lays the foundation to become the most globally accessible eSports franchise in the world, offering fans and partners experiences to interact with the brand on multiple platforms. The addition of streaming to Facebook creates an opportunity for Team Dignitas players to practice, interact and share their stories with new gaming audiences"

To kick things off, a pair of members from Team Dignitas' League of Legends team in Chan-ho "Ssumday" Kim and Sang-hyun "Chaser" Lee, will host the first event on Facebook. The pair will hold an "Ask me Anything" session as well as a live game stream from 7pm PT to 9pm PT on each of their facebook pages.

On April 13, Team Dignitas' Overwatch players Elvinas "evokje" Padegimas and Patrick "wat7" Marwal will be streaming as well as Heroes of the Storm player Kenn "Zaelia" Rasmussen.

Jonathan Kemp, Team Dignitas' CEO targeted Facebook specifically for the audience reach. "Given the tremendous global audience of over 1.86 billion people on Facebook and the world-wide interest in eSports, we knew this was a tremendous opportunity to connect our talented players with current fans and new gaming audiences. Team Dignitas players live streaming on Facebook and Twitch is only the beginning of what we hope will be a broader, more global and inclusive opportunity for our fans to enjoy live content on multiple platforms. Today we are proudly announcing our intent to lay that foundation for the future, as we continue to fulfill our promise to grow and create new access to this dynamic sport."

The interest was also there for the 76ers as Chad Biggs, the Philadelphia 76ers Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnership and Activation said, "The interest in and level of fan engagement with players in the eSports industry is unparalleled in professional sports today. We are confident that opening up our broadcast to both the Facebook and Twitch audiences is a move that sets us apart from other eSports teams, for both fans and partners. The interest has been incredible and we are anticipate announcing new, dynamic and differentiated corporate partnerships in the coming months."

The players are just as excited too as Ssumday said "I’m encouraged that Team Dignitas continues to seek new ways to grow the eSports industry. Esports is exciting, accessible and challenging – live streaming on Facebook will enable current eSports fans to share their passion in new ways with their friends and encourage potential new fans."

The team will also utilize Twitch where some Dignitas players still have accounts and active streams.
