H2K continue to make behind-the-scenes moves during the League of Legends off-season. After announcing that the organization is looking for future partners, the team most recently welcomed Javier Zafra as their new Director of Operations and Team Management.

"Today, we welcome Javier Zafra as our new Director of Operations and Team Management at H2K! Boasting a strong background and sharing the core values we believe in, Javier is a perfect fit to lead our day-to-day operations in Berlin in a professional manner worthy of an organization committed to excellence."

According to Zafra, choosing H2K was simple because of an ideology he's always had. "Making the decision to join the H2K project has been really easy. From the very beginning, I have always had my eyes on H2K as one of the reference teams when it comes to running a project in the esports sector. It's not only one of the teams with the highest competitive level but also stability and has evolved as an organization, becoming a family whose priority is the well-being of its players and employees."

Zafra previously spent time with Origen and called upon his experiences prior to joining H2K but ultimately, the organization's reputation stood tall. "After my first experience in the LCS, I was questioning whether to remain within the Esports sector or not, but by knowing the depths and professionalism of the H2K structure, the extensive expertise of the people in the ownership group and the core values which align between the two parties, I can confidently say I've made the right choice."

The newest member of H2K wasn't shy about the potential of the team and said, "It is a team designed to win, with a huge potential, with very talented players and one of the best coaches possible. I think it's going to be a very exciting split for our fans."

H2K finished with a 10-3 record in the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split but bowed out in the quarterfinals to Fnatic.
