The days of Adrian "Adrian" Ma being on Team Liquid are over. The support confirmed to ESPN that he would no longer be with Team Liquid. The report also indicates that the main reason Adrian is leaving is due to "disagreements concerning pay and the player's role within the team."

In a statement to ESPN, Adrian said "I really enjoyed my time on Liquid but we have decided to part ways on good terms. They already have a great support in Matthew "Matt" Elento, so we agreed to release me from my contract so I can fully explore all my options. This will actually be my first ever break since I've been a pro gamer so I want to reset and come back even stronger for summer!"

Adrian initially came over to Team Liquid on March 8 as the organization's second major transaction within those 24 hours (the first being the acquisition of Doublelift).

Initially, Adrian was signed to be the starter for the team and said, "I see massive potential in this roster and I hope to help us get better one day at a time. Hopefully Matt and I can push each other to improve and give our team the best chance of winning."

Sources told ESPN that Team Liquid attempted to get Adrian to sign a different contract to be a substitute with less salary to go with his new role. Because of this disagreement, Adrian and Team Liquid terminated their relationship. Michael Artress, the General Manager of Team Liquid told ESPN, "We mutually agreed to part ways. Adrian is excited about options for next split is completely free to decide what team he would like to compete on."

Adrian appeared in three games for Team Liquid on March 17 and 18 against Dignitas and Phoenix1.
