FlyQuest Turn the Tables on CLG and Take An Unexpected Victory

The first weekend of NA LCS playoffs has come to an end, and what an end it was. Everyone expected the real match to be on Saturday, as a flagging Phoneix1 took on the surging Team Dignitas, but that ended up to be anything but the case. Counter Logic Gaming were such huge favorites coming into their match against FlyQuest that it was almost inconceivable that they could lose, yet lose they did, and in the most dramatic fashion possible: the reverse sweep. One must almost wonder whether Hai specifically enjoys giving his opponents two wins in order to simply crush their hopes by taking the victory at this point, as he's a player that's almost become synonymous with the reverse sweep at this point.

If you have time to watch nothing else, you definitely must check out Game 5 of this series, as it was an all-carry, huge damage brawl that was exciting from beginning to end. Do you want level 1 fights? It had one of those. You want huge outplays? Look no further than Hai's Talon, who somehow managed to out damage every other champion in the game with a melee assassin. Big Baron fights? The game all but ended on one. It was easily the most exciting game of the playoffs so far, even if it wasn't exactly the cleanest.

For one player, however, this wasn't just another victory in the playoffs, it was a story of redemption. FlyQuest's Moon not only had the best series of his career -- not all that difficult considering how poor his career has been up until this point -- he also just looked like one of the best players on the rift. His Rengar play in Games 3 and 4 completely turned the series around, and his Evelyn was a threat that CLG was completely unprepared for come Game 5. His efforts didn't go unrewarded, though, as he ended up earning the accolade of Player of the Series.

He's in love with narrative-heavy games, which he proves by spending his days writing about a game with less lore than Doom. His greatest regret in life is not having his name in the credits of Life is Strange, and it's galvanized him to truly pursue developing games that don't begin in packed taverns and use D20s.
