League of Legends: Mysteriously Missing Rengar Effects

Sound effects and visual effects are a big thing within League of Legends. A simple sound queue can tell you what is about to happen or is happening. You can hear Nocturne's ultimate and react quickly. As soon as you hear the pull from Blitzcrank, you can begin to sidestep if your reflexes are quick enough. For Rengar, a very observational Rengar main by the name of No Rengar NoLife noticed that his/her champ is missing quite a few things.

"On Rengar’s update several audio files and some effects were either changed or removed for unknown reasons. I think that pretty much all Rengar mains would love to get the removed effects back, so that’s the reason I’m making this post, so a Rioter can see it and maybe give us some context and why they were changed or removed and if they can be restored."

The first effect that was noticed was Rengar's glow after using his W. Previously he would glow immediately after activating the ability and now it's completely gone. Another effect that was removed was Rengar's heartbeat and scan vision effect. When Rengar was using his ultimate, enemy champs had a scan vision and heartbeat effect. The latest update removed that.

Moving onto sound effects, a plethora of Rengar's sound effects were kind of taken out of the game. Now, we say kind of because the voice lines are still in the game files. A total of 10 voice lines were taken out of the game for no reason. Rengar's growl when he reached five ferocity was also taken out.

While Riot supposedly went on a removal spree, they ended up replacing some sounds as well. Rengar's passive jump was completely replaced and his W was actually called a "meow" compared to what his old sound used to be.

Rengar mains are furious all over the forums as well as on Reddit. They're not asking for much. They just want their old Rengar back. The effects, that is.
