According to a report by ESPN, Team EnVyUs will welcome two mid laners to their team. Fnatic Academy mid laner Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer and former Phoenix1 player Choi "Pirean" Jun-sik are set to both join Team EnVyUs pending Riot Approval.

ESPN states that the potential reason for acquiring two mid laners is because of visa issues with Nisqy. He does not yet have a P-1A internationally recognized athlete visa for the United States. Pirean does and will seemingly act as a starter in the mid lane until Nisqy obtains his visa.

In a quote to ESPN, Michael Moore, Managing Partner of Phoenix1 said, "Even though we're very sad to see Pirean go, we wanted to let him go somewhere he would have a better opportunity to play on stage. He's been with P1 since day 1 and he's always been a great teammate and a hard worker. We're grateful for his time with us and we wish him the best of luck!"

Mike "HastrO" Rufail, CEO for Team EnVyUs said, "What ultimately made us make the decision on Nisqy was that we do one-on-ones sessions with every one of our players when we make a team decision, in terms of roster, and every single one of the players we talked to on our roster, basically, all agreed that Nisqy was extremely talented and even someone like Lira, who doesn't speak a lot of English, was saying that Nisqy is really skilled as a mid laner. When all of the players are in agreement that a player is really skilled, it's kind of an easy decision to make; he fit really well, played really well with our team, so that led us to make the decision to bring us on."

Team EnVyUs recently parted ways with former mid laner Noh "Ninja" Geon-woo which led to the vacancy in the mid lane.

The team finished 3-15 during the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split and successfully had to fight for their LCS lives in the promotion tournament.
