Saintvicious Joins Team Dignitas Coaching Staff

by Tanner Dedmon

Adding another achievement to his growing list of roles within the many League of Legends professional teams, Brandon "Saintvicious" DiMarco has joined the coaching staff of Team Dignitas.

The new position for Saintvicious was announced on Friday in a press release from Team Dignitas. Accompanying the announcement was a video from Team Dignitas that was uploaded to their YouTube channel showing Saintvicious entering the house to rejoin his old team. During his new role as part of the coaching staff, Saintvicious will be serving the team alongside David “Cop” Roberson.

A talented League of Legends player in his own regard, Saintvicious has been playing the game since it was in the beta stage of development. He's played for a multitude of professional teams including his position as one of the original members of Team SoloMid and his early involvement with Counter Logic Gaming as well as other teams like Team Curse, Gravity Gaming, and, most recently, Team Liquid. As he aligned with different teams throughout his career, he filled a variety of positions such as Jungler, Support, and Coach. He previously coached for Apex Gaming, and after the team's roster was acquired by Team Dignitas, he transitioned into a coaching role for them as well.

Saintvicious added in the press release that he is looking forward to rejoining Team Dignitas and looks forward to what the upcoming season will hold for both himself and for the team.

"It's good to be back with my former players and the management group at Team Dignitas," Saintvicious said. "The talent level of our players should allow us to compete with the top tier teams. We need to work together to continuously improve our macro play and team coordination. Coach Cop and I look forward to the challenge. Our primary goal is to get this team to the World Championships."

With the addition of Saintvicious to Team Dignitas, the full roster of the team is now as follows:

  • Top: Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho
  • Jungle: Lee "Chaser" Sang-hyun
  • Mid: Jang "Keane" Lae-young
  • ADC: Benjamin "LOD" deMunck
  • Support: Alex "Xpecial" Chu
  • Coaches: Brandon "Saintvicious" DiMarco and David “Cop” Roberson
