WWG CSGO Team Rankings 10/31/2016

  • 1 2 Virtus.pro
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.585 RPI: 0.598
    96.56

Virtus.pro was idle this week, but still holds the No. 1 spot. Their strength of schedule increased due in part to SK making it to the ESL Pro League Season 4 finals. Virtus.pro will see their next matches take place in group play at ELeague from November 4-5.

    96.56
  • 2 8 Ninjas in Pyjamas
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.575 RPI: 0.595
    95.70

Ninjas in Pyjamas made a very good showing for themselves in the ESL Pro League Season 4 playoffs. They beat SK in group play as well as NRG and FaZe Clan. In the playoff bracket, NiP handled EnVyUs 2-0 and then fell to SK in the semifinals in an Epic match that went the distance in that BO3.

    95.70
  • 3 5 Natus Vincere
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.582 RPI: 0.593
    93.89

Another idle team this week and they remained unchanged at the No. 3 spot in the rankings. Na'Vi will travel to Oakland, California from November 16-20 for the IEM Season XI playoffs.

    93.89
  • 4 3 11 Cloud9
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.525 RPI: 0.583
    90.21

Cloud9 are the big winners of the week as they took home the trophy from the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals, beating the home crowd favorite SK Gaming. Cloud9 has vaulted into the spotlight as one of the best teams in the world, but some say they will need to validate this win in their next tournament. Timothy "autimatic" Ta was arguably the MVP of the Pro League finals with a +71 KD and 260 total kills.

    90.21
  • 5 1 3 SK Gaming
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.528 RPI: 0.582
    89.75

SK Gaming is still one of the best teams in the world. Making it to the finals in their own backyard was a great accomplishment for the Brazilian squad. In group play they dropped a map to No. 2 Ninjas in Pyjamas, but then rectified that loss with a 2-1 win in the semifinals of the playoff bracket. In the finals, after winning a close Game 1, they were devastated 16-5, 16-6 by Cloud9 and took a second place finish at the event.

    89.75
  • 6 12 mousesports
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.581 RPI: 0.578
    89.23

mousesports played some of the best competition of the week and did well. In group play at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals, they took out OpTic, Liquid, and EnVyUs and then ran into the chosen ones in Cloud9, dropping that semifinal 0-2. Last week, mousesports made it out of group play of ELeague Season 2 and will next head to Montreal to play at Northern Arena.

    89.23
  • 7 2 15 Team EnVyUs
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.569 RPI: 0.577
    87.09

Another participant of the ESL Pro League Season 4 finals, EnVyUs defeated Immortals, Liquid, and OpTic, but dropped their final group play match to mousesports. In the round of six, EnVyUs ran into No. 2 Ninjas in Pyjamas, dropping that match 17-19, 9-16. The Frenchmen prove once again that they are a force to be reckoned with and are one of the best teams in the CSGO landscape.

    87.09
  • 8 2 4 FaZe Clan
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.57 RPI: 0.576
    86.75

FaZe Clan moves up two spots in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings after playing in the toughest group at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals. They played both playoff finalists Cloud9 and SK Gaming, dropping maps to them both, but managed a couple of Top 25 wins against NRG and diginitas. Their Strength of Schedule improved resulting in the rise to No. 8.

    86.75
  • 10 1 9 Immortals
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.503 RPI: 0.573
    85.88

This was a very important tournament for the former Tempo Storm squad who was trying to make a run to the playoffs in their home country. They played valiantly, but ultimately could not secure the wins to get out of group play. Loses to EnVyUs, OpTic, and Liquid would doom this team to exclusion, but they did get a win against a very good mousesports team while playing for pride.

    85.88
  • 11 3 7 Fnatic
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.573 RPI: 0.571
    85.70

Fnatic had to drop out of the ESL Pro League Season 4 playoffs due to an issue with Dennis "dennis" Edman. Edman had to withdraw for a reason yet to be disclosed and fnatic could not find a replacement quickly enough to field a team. Missing out on the competition hurt fnatic in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings, falling three spots to No. 11.

    85.70
  • 12 1 Astralis
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.577 RPI: 0.569
    85.03

Astralis seems to be slowly fading into oblivion. They haven't played any matches since October 13 and will need to get in some work if they have any hope of regaining some future glory. This team could very well be on their way out of both the CSGO professional scene and the WWG CSGO Team Rankings.

    85.03
  • 13 4 22 Renegades
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.507 RPI: 0.567
    84.94

Renegades is the biggest mover in the positive direction gaining four spots and landing at No. 13. They have played a soft Strength of Schedule at 22nd best, but the big thing here is that since September 29, this team is 19-6. Wins over VG.Cyberzen, Winterfox, Selfless, and NRG all help in creating the aggregate rating. Most recent, Renegades did drop their PGL Regional Minor Championship Finals match to TyLoo 0-2.

    84.94
  • 14 16 Heroic
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.544 RPI: 0.562
    84.35

The problem with Heroic is that they will be play anyone. In the Electronic Sports World Cup this past week, Heroic took on some very weak teams such as fnatic academy, LDLC, and Overcome. Right now this team is resting on their Strength of Schedule score from playing dignitas, Natus Vincere, EnVyUs, fnatic, and mousesports in the middle of October. If they keep playing these below average teams, they will fall on their swords in true Heroic fashion.

    84.35
  • 16 18 GODSENT
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.541 RPI: 0.56
    83.68

GODSENT stays exactly where they were last week at No. 16 and were idle this period. GODSENT will be taking part in the ELeague European Minor, which is a qualification round to see who will get the opportunity to qualify for the ELeague Major in Atlanta, Georgia taking place from January 22-29. GODSENT could do very well here amongst the likes of Heroic, HellRaisers, and Epsilon who are all participating in the minor.

    83.68
  • 17 2 10 OpTic Gaming
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.531 RPI: 0.557
    82.62

OpTic drops two spots after failing to get out of the group stage at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals. They were locked in the first two matches, easily beating Liquid and Immortals, but ran into very stiff competition dropping consecutive matches to mousesports, EnVyUs, and Cloud9. Oscar "mixwell" Canellas played very well getting on the leader board at the tournament in 1+ kill rounds at 53.4 percent and Tarik "tarik" Celik was third overall in assists per round at .19.

    82.62
  • 18 1 23 TyLoo
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.519 RPI: 0.556
    82.52

TyLoo is starting to become more recognizable as to who they really are playing teams of note. This past week they won the PGL Regional Minor Championship sweeping Renegades and VG.Cyberzen. However, more excitedly is the fact that TyLoo will be making an appearance in the United States at the iBUYPOWER Masters in Costa Mesa, California taking on teams such as Cloud9, FaZe Clan, and Immortals as they try and qualify for IEM Oakland.

    82.52
  • 19 1 21 Team Liquid
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.531 RPI: 0.522
    82.43

The wheels came off for Team Liquid at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals this past week as they could only pick up a single map win against Immortals in group play. The reality here is that Liquid isn't the team that a lot of people think they are. Hit and miss, hot and cold are two accurate phrases used to describe this very talented team and they are going to need some big changes in the organization if they are going to ever see some consistency.

    82.43
  • 20 1 17 HellRaisers
    Last 10: 2-8 SOS: 0.54 RPI: 0.521
    81.66

HellRaisers move up one spot to No. 20 because of a slight bump in their strength of schedule thanks to SK and Ninjas in Pyjamas having a great ESL Pro League this past weekend. While their win-loss record looks poor, they are in fact playing quality opponents which means they are doing the right things to qualify for bigger events.

    81.66
  • 21 2 13 Gambit Gaming
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.477 RPI: 0.52
    81.47

Gambit had a good week playing at the Electronic Sports World Cup taking down Space Soldiers, Pride, and GODSENT Academy. Getting the wins is nice, but these guys from Eastern Europe need to find a way to break into the bigger tournaments by getting some qualifier wins in order to prove to the world they are one of the best.

    81.47
  • 22 NA NRG
    Last 10: 2-8 SOS: 0.531 RPI: 0.518
    77.19

NRG found out that the teams at the ESL Pro League Season 4 finals were seasoned and prepared. This team couldn't manage a single win in group play dropping all five maps. It was to be expected, however, as they were taking on four teams that are ranked in the top 10 of the WWG CSGO Team Rankings. Still, this team is improving every tournament.

    77.19
  • 23 1 NA Echo Fox
    Last 10: 2-8 SOS: 0.468 RPI: 0.513
    76.63

Another team with a horrible looking win-loss record, but has played some very good teams. Echo Fox was idle this past week, but faces an unbelievable test in Group B play of ELeague Season 2 where they will be pitted against Virtus.pro, NiP, and G2.

    76.63
  • 24 2 25 Epsilon
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.569 RPI: 0.512
    75.90

Epsilon played in the Electronic Sports World Cup this past week and faced some teams even the most experienced CS:GO fan may not have heard of. Pride, Penta, Norse, and Platinum were the name of the teams taken on in this event with Epsilon only managing to make it to the quarterfinals where they lost to Platinum Esport 0-2.

    75.90
  • 25 NA FlipSid3 Tactics
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.569 RPI: 0.486
    75.63

FlipSid3 holds on to the No. 25 spot in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings. Their top 10 Strength of Schedule ranking is the only reason these guys are here. We will see if there has been any improvement in their game when they take on TyLoo, Cloud9, and Echo Fox at the iBUYPOWER Masters in Costa Mesa from November 11-12.
