WWG CSGO Team Rankings 11/14/2016

  • 1 2 Virtus.pro
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.587 RPI: 0.615
    92.78

Virtus.pro are still the kings of the CSGO world. For the third straight week they sit at the No. 1 spot in the rankings, but barely. Separated by only .11, Virtus.pro gets the nod by virtue of their two of three maps wins over No. 2 Ninjas in Pyjamas played at both ELeague and ECS.

    92.78
  • 2 8 Ninjas in Pyjamas
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.565 RPI: 0.614
    92.67

The NiP had a very busy and productive week taking a map from No. 1 Virtus.pro while securing map wins over No. 9 dignitas and No. 15 GODSENT. And while this is good news, there is one thing to watch going forward as NiP has reinstated their coach, Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi, as an active player, replacing Mikail "Maikelele" Bill who has been a stand-in for the past three months.

    92.67
  • 3 1 3 SK Gaming
    Last 10: 9-1 SOS: 0.532 RPI: 0.61
    91.99

The No. 3 team in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings qualified for the main draw for Season 2 of ELeague, but did it the hard way -- beating No. 6 Natus Vincere two straight. SK is on a tear right now, going 7-1 this week with wins over Na'Vi, compLexity, and Luminosity. Their only loss came against what appears to be a resurgent No. 17 Astralis squad. SK will next play at IEM Oakland from Nov. 16-20.

    91.99
  • 4 6 7 Fnatic
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.569 RPI: 0.608
    91.63

Who are these guys from No. 4 Fnatic that most people have written off? Winners of four straight since the addition of Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun, Fnatic looks to be one of the top teams in the world once again according to the numbers. And the great thing is we will get a chance to see just that as Fnatic takes to Group D of ELeague this week with OpTic as their opening match.

    91.63
  • 5 11 Cloud9
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.517 RPI: 0.6
    90.19

Hovering over the No. 5 spot for a second straight week, Cloud9 was poised to make a serious jump, but was derailed at the iBUYPOWER Masters this weekend losing to No. 6 Immortals in the Grand Finals. The tournament was looking fantastic early on after annihilating Chinese powerhouse TyLoo by a score of 16-0, but C9 couldn't get past Immortals. Things get tougher this next weekend for C9 as they travel to Oakland for IEM.

    90.19
  • 6 2 9 Immortals
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.503 RPI: 0.598
    89.82

The rise of the Immortals! With their countrymen from SK Gaming supporting them at the iBUYPOWER Masters Grand Finals, Immortals pulled off an upset win over Cloud9 in a hard fought best of three that went the distance. The former Tempo Storm squad is once again showing people why they were considered a top tier team and if they do well at IEM Oakland this weekend, will make that case once again.

    89.82
  • 7 3 5 Natus Vincere
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.592 RPI: 0.597
    89.64

Although Natus Vincere plays the toughest schedule on the planet, they are expected to win and that wasn't what happened this weekend when they failed to qualify for the main draw of ELeague. Na'Vi will try and put the ELeague failure behind them and focus anew, heading to IEM Oakland in search of some quality wins.

    89.64
  • 8 2 15 Team EnVyUs
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.563 RPI: 0.596
    89.45

EnVyUs did what they were supposed to do at the Northern Arena Montreal Open until the playoffs. The best team on paper at the tournament, EnVyUs ran into a No. 20 G2 team that barely got by No. 23 Team Liquid in group play. G2 took it to the Frenchmen, getting a hard fought 2-0 victory. EnVyUs will look to secure a spot in the ELeague main draw this weekend in Group D play opening up against dignitas.

    89.45
  • 10 3 12 mousesports
    Last 10: 2-8 SOS: 0.571 RPI: 0.592
    88.72

Mousesports is a team that has lost its way -- for the moment. In ECS Season 2 play this week they split with No. 15 GODSENT, No. 11 FaZe Clan, and lost both to No. 1 Virtus.pro. Playing the fourth toughest schedule is a testament to mousesports getting to the tough matches, but they need to throw up some convincing wins in order to move up the rankings ladder.

    88.72
  • 11 1 4 FaZe Clan
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 86.5 RPI: 0.58
    86.50

The addition of Joakim "kioShiMa" Myrbostad at the very last moment before FaZe Clan took to the mice at the iBUYPOWER Masters paid big dividends for the team. kioShiMa was ninth overall in K/D difference at +26 over six maps and helped FaZe qualify as one of four teams from the tournament for IEM Oakland this weekend.

    86.50
  • 12 1 16 Heroic
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.539 RPI: 0.579
    86.39

Heroic moves up a slot after participating at Northern Arena taking on the likes of No. 14 OpTic, No. 20 G2, and No. 22 Team Liquid. The Danes went 2-0 in group play taking down Liquid and G2, but ran into a super focused OpTic who were the eventual tournament winners. Heroic is quickly making a case for themselves that they are a solid professional team.

    86.39
  • 13 2 22 Renegades
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.507 RPI: 0.579
    86.31

Renegades should be a bit angry with themselves. They had plenty of opportunities to make it out of group play at the iBUYPOWER Masters, but couldn't get it done. Aside from beating unranked Team SoloMid, Renegades just didn't have the guns to pull off upsets over two higher ranked teams in No. 6 Immortals and No. 11 FaZe Clan. They'll head home to Detroit looking for answers.

    86.31
  • 14 1 10 OpTic Gaming
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.535 RPI: 0.577
    86.01

OpTic survived a slew of stiff competition this last week at the Northern Arena tournament in Montreal, taking home the hardware and a check for $50,000. They, not unexpectedly, dropped a map to EnVyUs in the group stage, but then upset No. 12 Heroic in three brutal maps in a BO3 in the semifinals. OpTic would be tested yet again, going the distance against No. 20 G2, gutting out the match and the tournament victory.

    86.01
  • 15 1 18 GODSENT
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.538 RPI: 0.567
    84.17

The all-seeing eye of GODSENT went blind, just as their CSGO team, going a combined 1-5 against the field. To the defense of the all-seeing eye, all the teams faced were ahead of them in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings; No. 2 NiP, No. 9 dignitas, and No. 10 mousesports. GODSENT will get another good team this week, taking on No. 4 Fnatic in Week 5 of ECS Europe.

    84.17
  • 16 1 23 TyLoo
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.529 RPI: 0.56
    82.93

You have been measured, and you have been found wanting. TyLoo came to the iBUYPOWER Masters as the team everyone wanted to see. The Chinese squad is absolutely the best in their region, but the west wanted to see why. This team did qualify for IEM Oakland, beating No. 24 Echo Fox in the decider match, but was 16-0'd by Cloud9 in an embarrassing defeat. We will get a much larger view of what this team is all about after IEM Oakland.

    82.93
  • 17 1 1 Astralis
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.574 RPI: 0.552
    81.65

Just when you thought the star was going nova, Astralis decides they will qualify for the main draw at ELeague by defeating No. 23 ALTERNATE aTTaX and No. 3 SK Gaming. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander seems to be settling down and the team's chemistry and cohesiveness is coalescing. The team is looking to ride this spike in success to IEM Oakland this weekend in order to see if there is yet some life left in the shooting star we know as Astralis.

    81.65
  • 18 2 25 Epsilon
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.511 RPI: 0.551
    81.41

While Epsilon got two wins against a team only the most hardcore CSGO fans have heard of, BFAIM, the two spots they jumped in the ranking is directly connected to GODSENT played this weekend. Because part of the rating has to do with common opponents and their opponents' strength of schedule, Epsilon benefits from GODSENT having played No.2 NiP, No. 9 dignitas and No. 10 mousesports.

    81.41
  • 19 3 13 Gambit Gaming
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.484 RPI: 0.547
    80.82

Gambit was idle this week, but benefits from having played No. 23 ALTERNATE aTTaX and No. 11 FaZe Clan earlier in the month. Not much to see here right now, but Gambit's next big competition will come at the DreamHack in Jönköping November 24-27.

    80.82
  • 21 2 17 HellRaisers
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.548 RPI: 0.536
    79.25

Although HellRaisers 8-2 record in their last 10 matches looks impressive, four of those wins came against Space Soldiers and ENCE. This is another hard team to gauge as they aren't able to get into matches with much top-tier competition.

    79.25
  • 22 1 21 Team Liquid
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.528 RPI: 0.524
    77.75

Losing to teams such as Luminosity and TSM is a surefire way to drop down in the rankings -- fast. As we mentioned last week, Liquid is so talented to the individual, but lacks any sense of teamwork or ability to get along whether hat be in-game or out. This once beloved North American team has seen much better days and let's hope a new coach can right the ship.

    77.75
  • 23 NA ALTERNATE aTTaX
    Last 10: 2-8 SOS: 0.539 RPI: 0.521
    77.42

Making their WWG CSGO Team Rankings debut at No. 23, ALTERNATE aTTax shocked the world when they qualified for group play in Season 2 of ELeague. While they didn't give a very good showing and ultimately lost every match in trying to qualify for the main draw, this team lead by Kevin "keev" Bartholomäus could be ready to take its place among the top 25 every week.

    77.42
  • 24 NA Echo Fox
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.474 RPI: 0.51
    76.28

In or out? This is the question the WWG CSGO Team Rankings keeps asking these very individually talented CSGO players. This past weekend at the iBUYPOWER Masters tournament they beat FlipSid3 Tactics and went 1-3 against TyLoo. The strength of schedule boost given by playing these two opponents was more than enough to get Echo Fox back in the top 25.

    76.28
  • 25 NA VG.CyberZen
    Last 10: 9-1 SOS: 0.527 RPI: 0.48
    73.86

Rounding out the top 25 once again is VG.Cyberzen who had a solid week in terms of the number of wins they accrued with 12. Although these wins are coming at the expense of teams that are very average, they connect with the matches this team played in October against No. 13 Renegades and No. 16 TyLoo which keeps them in the No. 25.
