WWG CSGO Team Rankings 11/7/2016

  • 1 2 Virtus.pro
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.583 RPI: 0.643
    97.24

In Group B play at Season 2 of ELeague, Virtus.pro plowed through both teams in the pool with a combined score of 32-6. They absolutely demolished Echo Fox 16-1 and in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup against Ninjas in Pyjamas, VP showed the world why they are the undisputed best team in the world, handing NiP a 16-7 loss on Cobblestone. Fans have more to look forward to as VP and NiP square off again in a two game set this Wednesday in ECS regular season play.

    97.24
  • 2 5 Ninjas in Pyjamas
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.559 RPI: 0.639
    96.78

Ninjas in Pyjamas made it out of Group B play for Season 2 of ELeague this week, meaning they have qualified for the main event. They took down G2 in their opening round match and then once again in the group decider. However, the match of note here was against No. 1 Virtus.pro. Unfortunately, NiP was doubled up by the best team in the world 16-7 on Cobblestone, but will get a chance at redemption when they take on VP on Wednesday in ECS play.

    96.78
  • 3 6 Natus Vincere
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.581 RPI: 0.601
    90.75

Idle for their second straight week, Natus Vincere is very close to being knocked out of the top 6. That idleness will come to an end next Friday in Group C of ELeague Season 2 when Na'Vi takes on the likes of Astralis, ALTERNATE aTTaX, and most importantly, SK Gaming. It will be interesting to see if the long absence hurts Na'Vi's chances of making it into the main event at ELeague.

    90.75
  • 4 1 3 SK Gaming
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.507 RPI: 0.598
    90.24

There are quite a few pundits out there stating that the era of SK's dominance is dead. Well, if finishing in the top 4 of every tournament you have been in since July and winning ESL One: Cologne is failure, what are all the other teams thinking right now? There was big news on Sunday when SK beat Cloud9 twice on Train by scores of 16-11 and 16-7. These two wins entering the calculations at the very last moment gave SK the slightest push in taking over the No. 4 spot.

    90.24
  • 5 1 9 Cloud9
    Last 10: 9-1 SOS: 0.508 RPI: 0.599
    90.14

This squad is flying high after winning ESL Pro League Season 4 this past week. However, on Sunday, Cloud9 ran into a SK team looking for revenge and lost two maps on train 7-16 and 11-16 which dropped Cloud9 by the smallest of margins to No. 5. This week, Cloud9 has one of the more interesting match ups as they will face TyLoo in Group A of the iBUYPOWER MASTERS November 11-12. TyLoo is considered the best team in Asia's region and this match will tell us a lot about both teams.

    90.14
  • 6 1 15 Team EnVyUs
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.566 RPI: 0.593
    89.05

Playing in Season 2 of ECS, EnVyUs took on a struggling Astralis squad beating them easily 16-8, 16-4 on Dust2 and Nuke, respectively. EnVyUs will play G2 this week in ECS Europe play and will need to play as many good teams as they can in order to be sharp heading into Group D at ELeague on November 18. Kenny "kennyS" Schrub has been outstanding having posted only one negative K/D over the course of his last 18 matches.

    89.05
  • 7 1 14 mousesports
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.577 RPI: 0.591
    88.73

Mousesports, after losing to eventual ESL Pro League Season 4 Champions Cloud9, has played only two maps since losing to Astralis 16-4, 16-12, both on Mirage. This team, who is qualified for the main draw for ELeague, will play GODSENT in ECS Europe play this week. Nikola "Niko" Kovac, even when losing, is one of the best players in the world and needs the rest of his team to step up in order to get to the next level.

    88.73
  • 8 2 13 Immortals
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.518 RPI: 0.59
    88.55

The Immortals may not look great right now in terms of wins and losses, but they are putting themselves in position to play the teams that enhance their strength of schedule. They will be back in action this week at the iBUYPOWER Masters on November 12-13 playing Team SoloMid, Renegades, and FaZe Clan. This should be a good test to see if the rise of the Immortals is real or just a temporary spike.

    88.55
  • 10 1 10 Fnatic
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.573 RPI: 0.582
    86.90

Roster changes and confusion seem to surround fnatic right now as they made another change this week. Former Epsilon player, Joakim ‘Disco Doplan’ Gidetun has replaced John ‘Wenton’ Eriksson on the roster. This moves comes after fnatic had to drop out of the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals after a "personal" issue with Dennis "dennis" Edman. Fnatic will play against both dignitas and FaZe Clan this week with their new addition.

    86.90
  • 11 2 23 Renegades
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.498 RPI: 0.574
    85.28

Renegades, who will play at the iBUYPOWER Masters this week, has moved up two spots even after being idle due in large part to the fact that TyLoo and VG.Cyberzen have played well this past week. VG.Cyberzen went 5-1 and another common opponent, MVP Black, notched two wins which definitely helps in terms of strength of schedule.

    85.28
  • 12 4 7 FaZe Clan
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.566 RPI: 0.573
    85.10

FaZe Clan split with EnVyUs in ECS this week winning 16-11 on Cache, but then dropping 7-16 on Mirage. The biggest reason for their drop in rankings is that teams playing Cloud9 are getting a nice strength of schedule push, which includes everyone who has ever played Luminosity and compLexity. FaZe Clan will look to put up some quality wins this week as they participate in the iBUYPOWER Masters.

    85.10
  • 13 1 19 Heroic
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.556 RPI: 0.567
    84.04

Heroic comes in at No. 13, moving up one spot after dropping a hard fought three-game set to HellRaisers in the PGL Regional Minor Championships. In addition, they also faced an Epsilon team that is playing very well, dropping their one map contest on Cobblestone 22-26.

    84.04
  • 14 2 17 GODSENT
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.545 RPI: 0.565
    83.69

GODSENT won the PGL European Minor Championships and by doing so got an invite into the main qualifier for the ELeague Major being hosted this January in Atlanta, Georgia. The thing here is that GODSENT already had a spot locked up at the Major until they traded for Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson and lost the 3/5 player majority needed to secure the spot.

    83.69
  • 15 2 4 OpTic Gaming
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.521 RPI: 0.559
    82.61

This team snagged a win against SK Gaming at the very end of the reporting period for these rankings. They also managed a split with Team Liquid, showing that OpTic is playing pretty well at the moment. However, they will have no time to rest as they have Cloud9 and NRG on their plate this week in ECS Season 2 action. If OpTic can grab one map win against Cloud9 and sweep NRG, they could see a significant jump in the rankings.

    82.61
  • 16 4 1 Astralis
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.588 RPI: 0.554
    81.65

Astralis plays the second toughest schedule of all the teams in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings. They continue to plummet from the stars because they simply can't make any headway in the win department. They dropped matches to EnVyUs and dignitas, both 0-2, and managed a sweep of mousesports. Astralis will continue to see a tough schedule taking on Na'Vi, SK Gaming, and ALTERNATE aTTaX in Group C of ELeague this week.

    81.65
  • 17 1 NA TyLoo
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.49 RPI: 0.547
    80.55

This is the week everybody has been waiting to see. TyLoo will be playing in the iBUYPOWER Masters event matched up against Cloud9, FlipSid3 Tactics, and Echo Fox. Fans and analysts all over the world have been waiting for these matchups to gather more information on who this team really is. This past week, TyLoo did win the PGL Asia Minor which gives them a spot in the main qualifier for the ELeague Major.

    80.55
  • 19 1 22 HellRaisers
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.535 RPI: 0.537
    79.06

HellRaisers had a very good week going 9-4 and making it to the finals of the PGL European Minor Championships. They lost to GODSENT in the finals, putting up a good showing, going the distance in the BO3. Of note, the world needs to watch out as Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow is starting to flourish, the evidence being his +53 K/D in the minor.

    79.06
  • 20 4 24 Epsilon
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.498 RPI: 0.537
    79.05

One win away from qualifying for the main qualifier of the ELeague Major, Epsilon dropped a hard fought BO3 to GODSENT. Also, during this period, Epsilon has recorded map wins over Heroic and GODSENT and beat Space Soldiers 2-0. It was a good week for the European squad, except for one thing. Their best player, Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun was poached away from them by fnatic and they are now without a starting five. Stay Tuned.

    79.05
  • 21 2 16 Team Liquid
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.507 RPI: 0.533
    78.51

Team Liquid is a team without an identity or coach. This past week, Liquid split with OpTic, beat Immortals and lost to EnVyUs. Looking forward, in two weeks Liquid will be playing at IEM Oakland in the easiest group of the two, but will have to face Na'Vi for at least one good match. Liquid really needs to get out of group play and show the world they are still relevant.

    78.51
  • 22 1 12 Gambit Gaming
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.479 RPI: 0.518
    76.55

Gambit Gaming has gone on a tear, winning 12 of 16 matches this past week beating teams such as Kinguin, Rogue, and Space Soldiers. The next big competition for Gambit will be at DreamHack Zowie Open, November 24-27 and will see teams such as Cloud9, dignitas, and GODSENT.

    76.55
  • 23 1 NA NRG
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.515 RPI: 0.512
    75.94

NRG had no idea what hit them in the Finals of the ESL Pro League. They finished 0-5 there and in the only matches played this week, split with Team SoloMid. NRG will play at the Northern Arena in Montreal this week and are matched up against OpTic, EnVyUs, and CLG.

    75.94
  • 24 1 21 FlipSid3 Tactics
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.56 RPI: 0.497
    74.54

Strength of schedule is still the only reason FlipSid3 Tactics is hanging on to their spot in the WWG CSGO Team Rankings. However, finally, we will get to see them take the map against Cloud9, Echo Fox, and TyLoo at the iBUYPOWER Masters this weekend in Costa Mesa, California.

    74.54
  • 25 NA VG.CyberZen
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.489 RPI: 0.499
    72.47

VG.Cyberzen is arguably the second best team in the Asian region behind TyLoo. This team is in the exact same situation as TyLoo, but worse because they have yet to make it to any real outside competition.
