Winners of Northern Arena and ELEAGUE Season 2, OpTic parlayed that confidence and qualified for the ELEAGUE Major this past weekend defeating both Ninjas in Pyjamas and HellRaisers in the qualifier.

  • 7 4 8 Ninjas in Pyjamas
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.549 RPI: 0.574
    89.13

There was a collective loss in The Force this past weekend as thousands of fans felt a disturbance. For the first time in Major history, Ninjas in Pyjamas will not be in the tournament. And as much as this is a big deal in terms of news, the bigger story was how they failed. In their elimination match against Vega Squadron, NiP was annihilated 16-2 and looked as if they didn't want to be there. This is a team in flux and has a lot of decision making ahead of them.

    89.13

The Immortals were one round away from qualifying for the ELEAGUE Major. Then G2 decided to play. The Immortals, however, did in fact show the world that they are to be taken seriously and that in 2017 could be making a run to a Top 4 ranking in the world. However, rumors are swirling that one of these players will leave the team for SK Gaming after the ELEAGUE Major. Stay tuned.

GODSENT qualified for the ELEAGUE Major this past weekend winning three matches in a row against G2, dignitas, and HellRaisers. Is this finally the team everyone is saying GODSENT was supposed to be or is this a temporary spike in performance?

    88.02

mousesports has qualified for the ELEAGUE Major. This hit-or-miss team has had a rough time of it in the last half of 2016 going 8-18 since the first of November. However, they got the wins they needed to get that big payday by advancing to the Major.

    88.02
  • 13 3 11 Cloud9
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.524 RPI: 0.552
    85.10

There are dark skies right now in the world of Cloud9. The fact that this team didn't qualify for the ELEAGUE Major has got to be a huge disappointment to the organization. This team is very talented, but in the opinion of fans and pundits everywhere, is in need of a coach that has a grasp on late game pressure and tactics.

    85.10
  • 14 3 5 Natus Vincere
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.544 RPI: 0.55
    84.75

    84.36

Welcome to the Big Show! HellRaisers has qualified for the ELEAGUE Major and it was no easy task. It took them the maximum number of matches and a win against a good Cloud9 team in the last match of the tournament. The Major will be the biggest tournament in the history of this squad. There is much to look forward to.

    84.36

They tried. This team went out in a hurry at the ELEAGUE Major Qualifier and losing to Counter Logic Gaming has to sting. There is a reshuffling in the organization coming soon in terms of training facility and other things, so this squad will be looking to 2017.

    82.85
  • 18 2 13 Gambit Gaming
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.483 RPI: 0.538
    82.70

Winners of the DreamHack Zowie Open a couple of weeks ago, this team has been idle since and is looking towards 2017. No news is good news right now and this roster looks like it is going to stay intact.

    82.70
  • 19 2 7 Fnatic
    Last 10: 1-9 SOS: 0.544 RPI: 0.534

  • 20 1 23 TyLoo
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.491 RPI: 0.533
    81.91

TyLoo gave a better showing this past weekend at the ELEAGUE Major Qualifier getting revenge on Cloud9 for the 16-0 beatdown they took at the iBUYPOWER Masters, but couldn't muster another win. This team right now is obviously the best in China, but has a long way to go in terms of competing internationally.

    81.91
  • 21 1 21 Team Liquid
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.471 RPI: 0.516
    79.38

  • 23 NA VG.CyberZen
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.492 RPI: 0.502
    77.60

Losing to Epsilon in the WCA Finals isn't a huge deal as the Swedish team is very good, but losing to teams like Fnatic Academy simply cannot happen. More loses to teams such as that will for sure get you knocked out of the Top 25 and any hopes of being considered a legitimate team.

    77.60
  • 24 19 Kinguin
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.473 RPI: 0.479
    75.26

Idle since November 28, Kinguin will be considered one of the best teams to watch in 2017. They have the talent and skill to beat the bottom third of the Top 25, but will need to figure out some things if this team is going to advance.

    75.26
  • 25 NA Team Spirit
    Last 10: 2-8 SOS: 0.49 RPI: 0.478
    75.20

Team Spirit played at the ELEAGUE Major Qualifier and did exactly what people thought they would do -- go out as an 0-3 team. They got beat up pretty good with a -30 round ratio, but the fact they made it in the first place and now have a better understanding what the best competition is like will give them some insight moving forward.
