WWG CSGO Team Rankings 2/6/2017

  • 1 1 Astralis
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.539 RPI: 0.587
    93.28

Astralis has been idle since January 29 and has avoided any of the roster shuffle drama that unfolded this past week. They will start ESL Pro League regular season on Tuesday, February 7 when they take on Natus Vincere and mousesports playing each team twice. However, next week we will get to see these stars at DreamHack Las Vegas February 15-19 at the MGM Grand.

    93.28
  • 2 3 SK Gaming
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.58 RPI: 0.586
    93.01

Idle since January 28, SK Gaming finally announced the addition of Joao "felps" Vasconcellos to their lineup. SK Gaming opens up ESL Pro League play against...the Immortals. Somebody at ESL has a sick sense of humor as some of you may know, former SK Gaming player Lincoln "fnx" Lau now plays for Immortals. Meaning it will be a player on each team playing against their former teammates. Fireworks in Brazil? Yup.

    93.01
  • 3 2 Virtus.pro
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.569 RPI: 0.58
    91.81

The Polish squad, coming off a second place at the ELEAGUE Major, will start ESL Pro play this week when they take on Natus Vincere on Wednesday and Kinguin on Thursday. Traditionally, VP has been terrible playing online matches, so we will get to see if the indifferent attitude they've had in the past still exists.

    91.81
  • 4 1 4 FaZe Clan
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.586 RPI: 0.575
    90.73

FaZe Clan moves up to the No. 4 slot based on their strength of schedule and roster changes. They will take on Team Kinguin on Tuesday and then Heroic on Wednesday to start ESL Pro League this week.

    90.73
  • 5 1 8 Ninjas in Pyjamas
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.551 RPI: 0.575
    90.57

This squad has been in seclusion since being dropped in the group stage at the ELEAGUE Major qualifier. There are a lot of questions surrounding this team that will be answered in the next couple of weeks when they start the ESL Pro League and head to DreamHack Las Vegas.

    90.57
  • 6 2 6 North
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.568 RPI: 0.573
    90.15

North drops two spots in this weeks rankings. They were eliminated by eventual ELEAGUE Major Runners-up Virtus.pro in the the quarterfinals, but felt they should have played better. Still, this is a solid team and will start up ESL Pro League play this week against Fnatic on Wednesday.

    90.15
  • 7 2 5 Natus Vincere
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.568 RPI: 0.569
    89.37

Natus Vincere has been vaulting up the rankings and now sits here at the No. 7 spot. This week in the IEM Katowice 2017 Closed Qualifier they swept the field gaining one of the three allocated slots beating Tricked and Heroic. s1mple was his usual self leading all players in DPR (Damage Per Round) and KPR (Kills Per Round). Has s1mple settled down with this talented team? We will find out next week as Na'Vi takes on both Astralis and Virtus.pro in ESL Pro League regular season play.

    89.37
  • 8 4 11 Cloud9
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.575 RPI: 0.568
    89.19

Cloud9 gains four spots by virtue of roster changes penalizing quite a few teams this week. Rumors of infighting between teammates and management have surfaced and people are now wondering if this squad can function. They get a cupcake in the opening round of ESL Pro League play when they take on Rush on Tuesday.

    89.19
  • 9 2 9 Immortals
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.546 RPI: 0.565
    88.39

The Immortals are a squad that is so close to reaching the promised land of being a dominant team. Moving up two slots to No. 9, this team qualified for IEM Katowice 2017 going 6-1 with four of those wins coming at the hands of Team Liquid. Lincoln "fnx" Lau is an upgrade for this team and has big game experience. As cruel fate would have it, the Immortals take on SK Gaming, fnx's former team, in the opening match of ESL Pro League Regular Season play.

    88.39
  • 10 3 10 OpTic Gaming
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.556 RPI: 0.558
    86.80

OpTic is in a bad place. Dropping three spots to No. 10, they lost Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz in an abrupt change that saw the talented in-game leader head to Team Liquid. Not only that, they lost 4 out of 5 games to Immortals and lost out on the North American slot for IEM Katowice 2017 World Championships. Right now, this team is in trouble.

    86.80
  • 11 3 13 Gambit Gaming
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.573 RPI: 0.556
    86.38

Gambit has been idle since the ELEAGUE Major. They played well there, beating teams like FaZe and North, but this team was eventually driven out of the playoffs by Fnatic in the quarterfinals. We get to see Gambit in action next at the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas from February 15-19.

    86.38
  • 12 4 15 Team EnVyUs
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.565 RPI: 0.551
    85.38

EnVyUs right this instant has no identity. They lost out in the French super team shuffle and had to scramble to field a squad for the IEM Katowice Closed Qualifier. They fought through some inconsistencies and racked up some wins against BIG and Tricked, but couldn't match the firepower of their former teammates at G2 who eliminated them from the qualifier.

    85.38
  • 13 6 16 Heroic
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.513 RPI: 0.546
    84.27

Heroic moves up significantly and deservedly so. This team qualified for IEM Katowice beating EnVyUs, mousesports, and G2 in convincing fashion. This week Heroic will take on FaZe Clan in ESL Pro League Play in the hopes of keeping some momentum going forward.

    84.27
  • 14 1 14 G2 Esports
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.516 RPI: 0.519
    78.84

G2 were the winners of the French super team shuffle, but unfortunately could not put that to use right away. Inconsistent play with communication problems doomed this team to play as individuals rather than a team during their first official matches together at the IEM Katowice Closed Qualifier. They didn't qualify, losing to Heroic in the finals, but there was some good to be taken out of their play. Individually they are amazing, they just need to play together. Give it some time.

    78.84
  • 15 7 Fnatic
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.544 RPI: 0.54
    82.88

Fnatic may be the winner of the roster shuffles as this team didn't lose a step since getting Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Robin "flusha" Ronnquist back. In fact, they beat both mousesports and G2 which qualified them for IEM Katowice 2017. Will the wins continue? We will see them in both ESL Pro League play and DreamHack Masters Las Vegas in the next two weeks.

    82.88
  • 16 6 18 GODSENT
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.519 RPI: 0.532
    81.33

This team has always been on the cusp of greatness, going so far as to being one of the teams that made it to the ELEAGUE Major. However, this was one of teams that lost in the roster shuffle, at least temporarily. Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun played very well at the ELEAGUE Major, but couldn't get GODSENT over the hump at the IEM Katowice 2017 Closed Qualifier getting eliminated by mousesports. More questions than answers surround this team right now.

    81.33
  • 17 6 12 mousesports
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.509 RPI: 0.54
    83.35

Tumbling, stumbling, bumbling, mousesports is in trouble. They battled long and hard in the IEM Katowice 2017 Closed Qualifier but couldn't get it done. Dropping maps to GODSENT, Epsilon, Heroic, and Fnatic isn't completely horrible, but when those loses come in bunches, it spells disaster. mousesports will try to get the cheese this week when the take on Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas in ESL Pro League play.

    83.35
  • 18 3 17 HellRaisers
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.504 RPI: 0.516
    78.36

HellRaisers was idle this week and after losing 7 of their last 10 needs to do a review. This week in ESL Pro League regular season play, HellRaisers will take on LDLC.

    78.36
  • 19 2 21 Team Liquid
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.483 RPI: 0.513
    77.75

Team Liquid was the talk of the town when it was announced that Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz had joined the squad, essentially replacing Spencer "Hiko" Martin. So far this hasn't worked out, albeit stanislaw has only had a short time with the team. Liquid failed to qualify for the IEM Katowice 2017 World Championships after getting beat by the Immortals in the qualification match.

    77.75
  • 20 2 22 Renegades
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.575 RPI: 0.508
    76.93

The Renegades were idle this past week, but we will get to see them at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas from February 15-19.

    76.93
  • 21 1 NA FlipSid3 Tactics
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.474 RPI: 0.508
    76.90

Ok, so maybe FlipSid3 isn't as bad as everyone was making them out to be. However, they did fail to qualify for IEM Katowice 2017, going 3-5, losing to Epsilon and G2. They did get a big win over Vega Squadron, which tells us FlipSid3 can beat the lowest tier teams that get considered for the rankings.

    76.90
  • 22 25 Epsilon
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.54 RPI: 0.507
    76.70

Epsilon has had some recent struggles and they reared their ugly head as this team lost to BIG at the iGame.com Invitational. This team is good, but needs to find the one superstar that can carry them if they are going to be one of the greats.

    76.70
  • 23 19 Kinguin
    Last 10: 7-3 SOS: 0.558 RPI: 0.504
    76.22

Kinguin has been unusually quiet since losing in the finals at the WESG to EnVyUs. We will simply have to wait until they play again to see what this team is about here in 2017.

    76.22
  • 24 NA Rogue
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.508 RPI: 0.483
    73.32

Rogue is quickly becoming the darling of pundits and analysts everywhere. They have a solid core with Casper "cadiaN" Moller and Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov, but sometimes players such as these get poached to other teams. Let's see what happens here.

    73.32
  • 25 1 20 Space Soldiers
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.507 RPI: 0.474
    72.27

Space Soldiers dropped a match to an amateur team in the first around of the IEM Katowice 2017 EU Open Qualifier. This team is so hit and miss that their numbers are all over the place. They've shown they can play with good teams, but also lose to some teams that are simply a bunch of guys at a LAN.
