WWG CSGO Team Rankings 3/6/2017

  • 1 1 Astralis
    Last 10: 8-2 SOS: 0.4159 RPI: 0.5
    99.26

Astralis bolsters its hold on the No. 1 spot in the rankings after winning IEM Katowice 2017. Winning three champions, a top two, and a top four in its last five events showcases the consistency that puts this team above the rest.

    99.26
  • 2 2 Virtus.pro
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.4266 RPI: 0.472
    95.23

Virtus.pro did Virtus.pro things this week. The Polish side went from a championship victory over the No. 1 team in the world in Astralis to a group stage exit in its own backyard. Virtus.pro will most likely ramp back up for a bit before the cycle repeats itself.

    95.23
  • 3 3 SK Gaming
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.4248 RPI: 0.461
    93.88

SK Gaming looks eerily similar to Virtus.pro this week. Both teams failed to make it past the group stage at IEM Katowice and currently sit with a 5-5 record in their last 10 maps. SK looked to be on the upswing in Vegas but slipped up in Poland. In better news, the Brazilian squad will go back to dominating the North American region for a while.

    93.88
  • 4 4 Natus Vincere
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.4352 RPI: 0.447
    92.40

Natus Vincere has continued its string of unfollowable results. The team's inconsistency has been unavoidable since this roster came together. Able to hold on to the No. 4 spot due to results nearing the end of their stay in the rankings, Na'Vi could see a big drop in the rankings coming up in the next few weeks if things don't change.

    92.40
  • 5 6 North
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.4107 RPI: 0.426
    87.87

North's victories over Virtus.pro and Na'Vi kept its stock high going into this week's rankings, but the Danish squad took quite a few losses as well. If North wants to make it into the top three, it needs to do a better job of keeping the loss column to a minimum.

    87.87
  • 6 2 5 FaZe Clan
    Last 10: 6-4 SOS: 0.4061 RPI: 0.426
    87.63

FaZe looks like a force to be reckoned with now that Nikola "NiKo" Kova? has become an active member. The team made the finals in Katowice where it earned three of its four map losses out of its last ten. FaZe may not be ready to take down the best team in the world yet but everyone else should be quite worried.

    87.63
  • 7 8 Ninjas in Pyjamas
    Last 10: 3-7 SOS: 0.428 RPI: 0.398
    82.95

Although the ninjas kept things close against top tier teams like Astralis, it once again went out in the group stage. A 1-4 record, only netting a win over a struggling OpTic squad would continue to hurt NiP's place in the standings. Several bad results in a row now will come into more effect as wins of the past move outside of the rankings reach.

    82.95
  • 8 2 9 OpTic Gaming
    Last 10: 1-9 SOS: 0.4036 RPI: 0.399
    82.77

OpTic's future looks grim. The team has been without Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz for a few weeks now and the results are not getting any better. Having lost all but one of its last 10 games is hard to grasp for a team that looked so promising just a month ago. To be fair, it's last two maps were against the likes of NiP, FaZe, Astralis, North, and Immortals, all of which are in the top 10 of the rankings. Either way, OpTic is not the same team it was in December.

    82.77
  • 9 4 10 Immortals
    Last 10: 5-5 SOS: 0.3761 RPI: 0.41
    82.73

Immortals got a nice bump up in the rankings following a strong performance in Poland this weekend. A semifinal run at IEM Katowice saw the Brazilian squad take maps against quality teams in Astralis, NiP, fnatic, and North. The biggest mover in the rankings, Immortals will need to find similar success in its next international appearance to show it was not a one-time thing.

    82.73
  • 10 1 7 Fnatic
    Last 10: 4-6 SOS: 0.4142 RPI: 0.396
    82.66

Fnatic has not taken many wins lately and those it has have been against struggling squads like OpTic and NiP this weekend in Katowice. What got the Swedish side a bump up was its strength of schedule alongside older results. Playing good teams will keep you afloat for awhile if you can notch the occasional win, Fnatic still needs to work on that.
